@Kazanor in that case wouldnt a workaround be to sub to the mod, activate it, boot up Rimworld in v1.5 (from the open beta thingy in Steam), make the settings changes and whatnot, and then set it back to v1.6?

@Eliza513 Not if you download it fresh, to enable the slowdown function you apparently need to enable it in the mod settings but its sadly just a blank page

Since nobody has commented anything to this effect yet, I'll note for anyone reading this that Ive been using this mod in 1.6 despite it being outdated, and everything seems to work fine. This mod is still good to use while waiting for an update to it

This mode with melee animations its so funny. When you go to slow X 3 instead of going slow it speeds up the animations xD

One of the best mods for filthy casuals like me.
Hopefully we could get it for 1.6

@ĐruCart3456 you're looking for the "Disable forced normal" checkbox in the mod settings menu. I should probably change that to be on by default.

Could be a mod confliction, but one thing I thought would be *really cool* is using this for combat instead of pausing. However, it seems its still blocked when you try it, like normal fast forward is. Super damn shame.

Ok got it. I tried again with Smart Speed removed, and no change. Can other mods be preventing your to work?

In general, this won't be compatible with things that also change the TickManager. Both SmartSpeed and Slow Down override the vanilla code because the vanilla code was not made to be extended.

@LostRD - Humble request.
I love this mod its one I cannot live without. But you know what is the #1 reason of pawns getting killed ? The fact that my brain tells me hit 3 to slow to the max and I forget that I am on normal speed making it 3x speed.

Its a bit counter intuitive to hit 3 to max your slow and also hit 3 to max your speed. While you always have to have in the back of your mind on what speed mode you are.

I thought well maybe there is a chance we could get a toggle option to inverse the speeds, this would preserve the people who like it the way it is and also help people like me.

This way when you hit 3 you know you will go faster. Regardless if you are at normal speed or slow mo.

And when you hit 1 you will go slow or maximum slow motion.

I know its a long shot but you miss 100% of the shots you never take.

@Doggo the speed buttons in the bottom right become red when this is running.

Would be kind of cool if this had a visual notification when it's running, but aside from that nice mod.

I have the same can't pause issue. It's a conflict between this mod and Camera+. The author recently added some code that does something with the pause key event. Strange, no matter what settings I change with this it stops me being able to pause with my keyboard at all. Bummer.

@Steve I double checked my code, everything is supposed to be disabled by default as if the mod isn't active. I'm not sure what's going on at your end.

@PGMP The icons are small and you don't normally look at them, I can see how you missed it.

Is this hardcore mode meant to activate automatically? I just found out this mod was why I couldn't pause or unpause with my keyboard after thinking others I added borked something
This may have been the universes way of saying I should study instead of playing Rimworld...but I fixed it so...so...Rimworld!

@Lost RD - Thanks a lot man this mod is the best of rimworld for a strategist like me.

I have a request tho, would it be possible to have some visual aid to help knowing when you have slow mode rather than regular.

Right now the only way that I can test that is by hitting the 3rd speed and instantly pause if i see is too fast.

Anything that could help with this would be appreciated even if it is a small icon or even a text like ( you need defenses ) replaced with " Slow mode" could be enough.

For those who run into this "issue" as well... Be aware that "5" is also the default hotkey for Emergency mode on Better Pawn Control. So make sure you change one of the two or you'll be scratching your head for a bit.

Sorry, but where is the option to allow speed down in combat? I'm looking at mod options, and I only have Enable Mod, Disable forced normal, Hardcore mode: disable pause, and Slowest Speed.
