Does this not work anymore? I statred a new game a few mins ago and my units have multiple models still. Yes, i confirmed the mod was active.

@therealmikel : Nope. Just a coincidence.
Sorianos 19. aug. 2017 kl. 21:47
Does this mod also shrink map sizes? I usually play on pangea and the past few maps have been a lot smaller than usual. Not sure if this is causing it. Love the mod and it makes my toaster run better though

@Mr. It: Personally, it's a mix of: 1. wanting to enjoy the diverse units of R.E.D. Modpack or Ethnic Diversity and get a good look at the models, and 2. missing the look and board-game-like feel of Civ3 and earlier. But... To each their own.
AmSquish 4. juli 2017 kl. 13:22
How could people like this? How does one not like an mg mowing down the rows of barbarians? That's pretty much the best part of the game.
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 17. feb. 2017 kl. 23:41
@sparr15 : Increased more than vanilla? There's R.E.D. and R.E.D. Xtended already...
sparr15 13. feb. 2017 kl. 15:34
could you make increased unit graphics?
PenguinMkenz 9. okt. 2016 kl. 19:17
Or could it also be R.E.D. Xtended?
PenguinMkenz 9. okt. 2016 kl. 19:11
Is it supposed to not do Galleys? Other ships go down to one but Galleys are three.
Markushaahr 29. sep. 2016 kl. 13:39
i just got this as an exercise for CIV VI

Great mod - THX

@princess_aslaug: You could make a fake DLC with MPMPM [forums.civfanatics.com]...

Is there any way to use this game as a permanent change to the game's graphics instead of having is as a mod that always needs to be activated?
HoldinMahGroin 5. apr. 2016 kl. 10:34
I am HoldinMahGroin!!!

@Deerwreck: Sorry, I'm not sure what you have in mind. The files in this mod are text files. You can try adjusting the numbers until you get the effect you want. If you want to create a brand new mod, go read the tutorials on civfanatics.com
DeerwreckBround 14. jan. 2016 kl. 14:55
is it possible to us single unit graphics to alter the graphics of just one unit or several, and if so how would you go about modding one, and how does one mod?
Dombie The Zombie 1. nov. 2015 kl. 4:33
thank you:steamhappy:
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2015 kl. 11:23
@juboy78: How small?

You could add one line to the *very end* of SingleUnitGraphics.sql that applies a consistent scale multiplier, e.g.:

UPDATE ArtDefine_UnitMemberInfos SET Scale = Scale * 0.72;

0.72 is roughly Reduced Unit Graphics scale. 0.48 would be roughly vanilla scale, and 0.36 would be roughly R.E.D. scale.
Dombie The Zombie 31. okt. 2015 kl. 9:16
could you make a RED mod with single units but small on map?
Rupert 14. maj 2015 kl. 12:42
Awesome!!!
tuhmato 20. dec. 2014 kl. 16:43
Interesting Idea. Tanks look funny though :P

i have download it from the civ forum, it work normally. i like it, the game seems become more smooth.
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2014 kl. 12:51
Steam can be fickle. See a few posts below to Stehlo about deleting the cache (if you have a lot of mods, note which ones are active because you will have to re-enable them).
76561198090809808 12. nov. 2014 kl. 2:39
i have subcribed, but it does not appear in the game's mod, other mods appear normally, except this.
IceMan 14. okt. 2014 kl. 18:48
Cool, I'll try that out. Thanks.
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 14. okt. 2014 kl. 10:51
@Icy: So you want to apply R.E.D. scale to a different diversity mod? I suspect you mean Ethnic Units by brutalsamurai22 (Ethnic Diversity was my version of R.E.D. from the previous time that Gedemon had stopped updating R.E.D. Modpack). That's not quite as easy as you might think.

Note that I've released an unofficial version of R.E.D. Modpack [forums.civfanatics.com] which adds ~30 new models, including some ethnic embarked units.
IceMan 13. okt. 2014 kl. 22:39
Hey, is there any chance that you would consider making a mod that just makes units smaller, but with no new models or skins? I know that R.E.D. already does that first part, but I also like the Ethnic Diversity mod because it adds more skins. But Ethnic Diversity doesn't re-scale units leaving me with giant-ass horses and soldiers and tiny tanks. If it's actually not that difficult, I could do it myself (I already tried and failed a few times) so as to not waste your time and energy, but I could just use some mentoring. Thank you!
Stehlo 22. juli 2014 kl. 8:44
I was hitting ''next'' but deleting the cache helped, thanks! :)
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 20. juli 2014 kl. 22:52
After selecting the mod, did you hit Next (not Back), then start the game? Try deleting the cache. See this thread [forums.civfanatics.com] for instructions.
Stehlo 20. juli 2014 kl. 3:34
can anyone help? I have enabled the mod in the 'mods' section, but it does not appear to have any effect...
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. 2014 kl. 16:39
DX9 is fine...

Very odd. Do other mods work for you?

You could try unsubscribing here, then download and install it manually from the CivFanatics [forums.civfanatics.com] thread.
Iceman 17. apr. 2014 kl. 11:03
I tried deleting the cache, still no go.

I also forgot to ask, is this mod compatible with DirectX9 graphics? I was unable to get DX10/11 version to work on my system.
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. 2014 kl. 10:23
The edition doesn't matter (except the Mac ones, which apparently require a bit of work to get mods operable).

It's somewhat out of date, but this checklist [forums.civfanatics.com] is good for troubleshooting mods. Deleting the cache is usually my first step when mod behavior is weird.
Iceman 17. apr. 2014 kl. 9:56
Hmmm, still not working for me. The mod shows as enabled inside of Civ5, but the graphics still haven't switched to singles. I'm using Civ5, the complete edition, not sure if that matters.

I'm actually a long time Civ player, but haven't played for a couple of years. I guess I halucinated the feature being standard in Civ5. I had forgot that they got rid of stacking and also eliminated the graphics feature at the same time. Personally, I've always thought the single units made things look much simpler, especially on a large map...
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 15. apr. 2014 kl. 22:44
There was an option in Civ4, but not in Civ5.

As far as getting the mod to work, you need to hit Mods from the main menu. Eventually your subscribed mods will appear in the list. You check the circle next to the ones you want to activate, hit Next, and start a new game (or load a previous one).
Iceman 15. apr. 2014 kl. 14:05
wow, I feel like a total noob. first, I seem to recall that the single unit graphics was a standard option of the game, without any mods required - it's been a long while since I played Civ5, but I'm certain it had that feature...

second, and I'm really feeling stupid, I clicked the subscribe option, but nothing changed in the game. I'm using the Civ5 Complete package (just wanted to start fresh). was I supposed to do another step, install, or whatever, couldn't see any other buttons to push...
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 2. apr. 2014 kl. 10:07
That should have been fixed. Are you using the latest version?
Toffer 2. apr. 2014 kl. 8:49
Would you look at that, I remembered.^^ Seems like the modern caravan (Truck) suffers from the samme problem, it's really large.
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 16. mar. 2014 kl. 0:46
Works for me... Anyone else having problems?
Annoying Ewok 15. mar. 2014 kl. 11:08
Umm...I think there is something wrong with the v10 update, the mod doesn't work anymore ):
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 15. mar. 2014 kl. 10:23
Toffer: If you don't remember to check, then why should I bother replying? ;-p Thanks for the report; It's now been fixed. There won't be any compatibility issues.
Toffer 11. mar. 2014 kl. 4:53
Can you change the scale of individiual units without creating more incompatability with other mods? I'm thinking about the cargo ships of late eras wich I think is way too big. They overlaps some of the neighboring tiles!

I probably won't remember to check your answer.
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2013 kl. 12:59
Thanks. This mod, especially, was really for myself, but I'm glad when others can appreciate it.

It's pretty easy to slow down the animation times, actually. It would be a separate mod, but I'd be happy to make it. Would this be across the board? Just melee? (...and surely not bombers!)
ziwdon 23. mar. 2013 kl. 6:58
Great mod, I use it with R.E.D. and it's awesome.
In the beginning it felt a little weird, but after increasing AA and playing a bit, it's awesome. It feels simpler and much more personal. The only thing that could be improved would perhaps be the animation time during combat, to make it last longer. But that is probably tricky.

Anyway, great work with the mod and thanks for sharing! =)

@JairoAV25: Let me know what you think of " Reduced Unit Graphics "
Pipboy 15. jan. 2013 kl. 11:33
Yes you're right Fewew Units is good, the idea is to find the balance, a single unit by type makes the game look poor, I don't know, is what I think....
Nutzzz  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. 2013 kl. 17:17
I'm still not sure how you're drawing the line when multiple units are necessary or not, but in general I think a "Fewer Unit Graphics" mod is a good idea. I'll try to put something together.
Pipboy 14. jan. 2013 kl. 11:51
@Nutzz I mean, mounted units would be set to 3 units, archers to 3 too ( the idea is to see an army when you build one), the maximum number should be 4 at least, obviously swordsman and other soldiers, tanks, ships, settlers, scouts by 1 will be fine. What do you think?
