Outpost 2.0

    Backend Changes
    • Restructured the entire backend to support randomized map generation
    • PoV: Changed the point of view to match the reference

    Dynamic Weather System
    • Fog, rain, and thunder effects added
    • Each has a 50% chance to appear at the start of a round
    • Effects can activate independently, allowing combinations (e.g. fog + rain, thunder alone)

    Dynamic Spawn System
    • Map now supports two starting setups: gate on the left side or right side (river)
    • The map layout changes slightly according to the gate spawn
    • Objects and decorations adapt dynamically to the map layout
    • Graveyard and Dungeon of Evil reposition dynamically based on gate location

    General Changes
    • Bugfix: The ground layer has been changed from planes to cube objects. Previously, thin base planes led to inaccurate hit detection, causing weapons to miss their targets and the camera to flicker. The new base plane implementation ensures reliable collisions and visual stability.
    • Many bugfixes and tweaks.
    • Added new screenshots and a new steam preview.
    • Added a cow at the Priestess with a 50% spawn rate. It appears with a cheerful "Mooo!"
    • Added the Dungeon of Evil. The Priestess can now give you a quest to cleanse it
    • Added the Monastery Graveyard as a prison board. Rolling a die with result x–9 will force you to stay there for one round
    • Added some scary sounds which play at random around the Monastery Graveyard
    • Weaponry boards surrounding the forge have been replaced with dedicated forge boards
    • Added a visual effect and sound for the home portal
    • Added a slight bloom effect to the fire visuals
    • Ghidor now also has the option to accept a wager involving 15 keys, as an alternative to the 10-key choice
    • Ghidor: Added two dialogue (sound) options for Ghidor: a cheerful "Welcome" (anticipating your defeat) and a dismissive "Nah" for when you win
    • The Cursed Archer now delivers her dialogue (box) only once per round to improve gameplay flow

    Visual Optimizations
    • Fog layer is smaller so it no longer clips through the camera
    • All fire effects replaced with new particle-based fire effects
    • All fire effects are now influenced by wind
    • The lights caused by fire effects now cast dynamic shadows
    • Updated visual effects for the frost sorcerer
    • Changed the global lighting
    • Board spaces are now illuminated to make them more visible in dark areas
    • Torch lights now reach a little further
    • Added a new visual effect: Fire Tornado
    • Most of the visuals have been updated
    • Added new textures

    Event Adjustments
    • Bloodmoor adventure spawn chance reduced from 100% to 33%

    Forge / Blacksmith (Dynamic Interaction)
    • The blacksmith now engages in dialogue with the player
    • Dynamic forge sounds are now played, reacting dynamically to player interaction
    • Added occurring spark effects synchronized with the sound during forging, reacting dynamically to player interaction.

    New Board Effects
    • Town Portal Board – Teleports player to town
    • Priestess Board – Triggers quest to cleanse the dungeon and teleports player to it
    • Poison Trap Board – Damages player for 10 damage
    • Treasure Chest Board – Grants loot with custom effect
    • Dark Ritual Board – Damages player but deals double damage to enemies
    • Epic Weaponry Board – Grants 2 random superweapons
    • Fire Sorcerer – Deals 12 damage (12 hits)
    • Collector – Everyone but you drop 10 keys to the floor
    • Ghosts – Deals 10 damage (10 hits) and drop 3 keys
    • Cursed Archer – Deals 3 volleys of 5 damage each and makes you drop 3 keys every time it hits.
    • Forge: Forge an item. All standard items and the Laser are obtainable.
