-Due to changes to the vanilla Steam tank's 3D porthole introduced by CA after update 5.0 most of the custom Steam Tank units need a custom composite porthole to have a working 3D porthole.
Or you can still simply remove the vanilla's composite porthole reference from your modded unit like I just did.
The thing is that the game may like that and still give you a working 3D porthole or not like that at all and give you a Static 2D porthole missing some stuff.
Sadly this is the case of this mod, so you will have a 2D porthole despite of your settings, which is still better than having an incorrect 3D porthole (vanilla Steam tank) for these custom units but still, not great.
Sadly, I can't give you a custom composite porthole.
