Emergency Hotfix 2.1d

  • Fixed CP/MP price issue found with some earlywar German squads/breeds
  • Removed Morphine from Ranger medic inventories -- Morphine has netcode issues that stops it from working properly in a lot of cases.

NOTE: IF YOU CHANGED YOUR PREPARATION TIME SETTINGS, THIS PATCH WILL CHANGE THEM BACK. I know it's annoying, but this is something that you'll have to do after almost every patch. For this reason I will try to keep patches/updates spread out by at least a few days unless users report a game-breaking bug.

Hotfix/Minor Update 2.1b & c

  • Fixed some embarrassing typos in units_usa and units_fin that may have caused some crashes during late-game campaigns vs USSR or USA
  • Fixed Finnish infantry CP costs being too high (Finnish infantry retain their capture speed bonus)
  • Updated and expanded the 2nd Ranger Bn squads for US: Ranger medics carry morphine syrettes! I am using these squads to test how well morphine works. If there aren't any major issues, I will start adding small numbers of morphine syrettes to other medic inventories.
  • US Ranger Humanskin & breed fixes: all Rangers now wear the right helmet and carry the right sort of SMG pouches
  • Minor tweaks to the T-37 (ShKAS): it should now fire more tracer rounds
  • 37mm M3, 51mm M1 (Early), 5cm PaK38 (Late), 76mm M1927 (Late) are all now available in conquest. These guns use slightly different ammunition types to their standard counterparts and should give players interesting alternatives. The solid-shot AP ammo of early US guns has better penetration but higher ricochet chance, while the later German and Soviet guns have HEAT ammunition/warheads unavailable on earlier models.

Hotfix 2.1a

  • Hopefully fixed the US defender AI not having breeds to use in campaigns
  • Added Flammpanzer 38 (Note: WIP - the loader/radioman is currently classed as a "passenger" for some reason
  • Changed the earlywar LW sicherungs squad to LW Wachbataillon Squad. These troops are from the Regiment General Goering c.1939.
  • New Ostlegionaere uniforms

Major Update v2.1

  • I have introduced tank sections and tank troops for the AI. The AI will now send in groups of tanks and other vehicles that will move and fight (sort of) together. The AI isn't too smart about how it uses these groups, but it's at least more realistic than only having single tanks drip-feeding into battle.
  • I have added some towed weapons for the AI. The AI currently isn't very good at using these, so this may only be a temporary experiment.
  • I have changed the speed at which the AI buys units. Instead of units trickling into battle at a slow, constant pace, you will be faced by bigger waves of units at the start of levels. This should make defensive missions less of a boring slog and more of a desperate rush to survive.

  • I am starting to add more 'historic' squads. This time, Soviet early-war Rifle squads. These guys play very differently to most as they depend heavily on their Dyakonov grenade launchers for extra firepower. The Grenade Launcher Squad in particular can be devastating against defending infantry in confined areas.

  • Much like the new game update, this mod update has lots of weird experimental features. Stuff will probably break, and some changes might be reversed depending on what players think.

  • As always, if you have crashes, post the last 4-5 lines of your game log when you let me know.
