# Integrated several bugfixes from this mod. https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/52798/Any This included a slightly expanded German/Italian unification that is still very close to vanilla that is integrated as well.

# Further adjustments/fixes to aggression & wargoals, small fixes that I didn't get to or notice before yesterday.

# I believe I have fixed a bug where AI Prussia would annex itself when forming NGF (and thus revert back to being Prussia instantly and no longer able to form NGF) This would only happen to AI Prussia.

# Fixed AI conquering others subjects instead of using transfer vassal CB.

# Fixed Prussia gunning for German Leadership too early and losing it pretty consistently.

# Fixed Italians being more passive than intended; Italy was not really forming because of this.

# Fixed Sweden not going after Denmark to form Scandinavia.

# AI Qing will no longer enter into any Defensive Pacts or Alliances with anyone.

### PATCH NOTES LotusAI release 1.5

# Removed the rework to war exhaustion and attempted to rebalance peace deal values to work as intended in vanilla. Capitulation no longer happens at 0 War Support. I have it set to -25% instead of the default -100% now. I am very frustrated with the Peace Deal system overall tbh and the result is not ideal, but neiter was my hacky workaround. The new update's behavior better than vanilla but not perfect, as it is fundamentally broken. # Further general refining of AI wargoal logic, some things country-specific some things broad. Though this bullet point is short this is the biggest change in this patch & where 90% of the time spent on this patch was went. (including fixing bugs in existing logic) Some major under the hood re-wiring has been done and the results should be a noticable improvement over previous mod version. The AI should seem less aggressive than prior version, while still going after & achieving logical goals.

# The AI will now use Liberate Country CB against Ottomans, Austria & Egypt but no one else. I forgot that I had disabled AI use of this CB in an earier update of the mod; it definitely is nicer not having the AI use this against most countries imo. While it doesn't line up with how it happened historically, this causes Ottomans & Austria to end up breaking up over the course of the game as they lose wars with liberate country CBs on them. NOTE: So far as I can tell, there is no way to obtain any information about the country being liberated. So I can't stop for example landlocked countries inside of Austria from being liberated. Although this will introduce some border-gore it hopefully should sort itself out by the end of a game. This also serves as a way for the other Great Powers to whittle down Austria and Ottomans, nerfing AI Austria in particular.

# Added a Russian claim to the state Kars (Ottoman held on the border with Ottomans, historically taken by Russia)

# Removed Nationalism requirement from the mod's "Centralize Dutch East Indies" decision. This means it is useable right away and DEI will instantly annex it's starting vassals. The reason for this change is that in perhaps 50% of test games, Dutch East Indies loses it's starting vassals and the reason is that it's power ranking drops to Insignificant Power. That instantly causes its puppets to automatically release. I don't think this is moddable, and it happens in vanilla too, so I am just unrestricting this as a workaround.

# The decentralized nations in New Zealand have been removed & consolodated into the United Tribes tag. This is the best solution I could think of for now as to how to stop USA from taking South Island every game. (As they need the interest in Oceania in order to get Hawaii) There is no way to limit where countries colonize other than strategic regions.

# Removed Miskito Kingdom protectorate from Great Britain as it would sometimes cause GBR to get dragged into a pointless war with the US.

# USA should actually get Hawaii now; fixed an issue related to the logic I had here.

# Cape Colony is now a Dominion instead of a Puppet so it can do things on it's own.

# USA & Brazil both start with 5 extra Barracks in their capitals to help them win their initial wars as AI (Brazil in particular needed help, USA was losing a little more often than I'd like, but it's not abhorrent for Mexico to win).

# The level 10 Barracks in Ankara is upgraded to level 30. Additionally, Adana is now fully owned by Ottomans at game start.

# Added a decision for Germany to annex any German subjects it still has after forming Germany.

##### The following changes are all to help with AI use of the Liberate Country CB being enabled specifically & only on Ottomans, Austria & Egypt (disabled in all other cases, players can use it freely) #####

# Bosnia now will get Montenegro when released from a country. This is to prevent pocket of Otttoman territory in the Balkans after countries are released.

# Albania now will get Southern Serbia when released from a country. This is to prevent pocket of Otttoman territory in the Balkans after countries are released.

# Translyvania now will get Moldavia when released from a country. This is to prevent pocket of Austrian territory after countries are released.

# Sudan now will get Eritrea when released from a country.

# Trieste & Slovenia are no longer releasable tags.

# Slovakia is no longer a releasable country. So far as I can tell there is no way to control what country is chosen by the AI when choosing "release country" CB, and Slovakia is often picked if able & fully landlocked inside of Austria.

# Transjordan & Lebanon are no longer releasable tags.

# Fixed an issue in previous version where AI was undervalueing & rarely taking "conquer state" CBs, instead vastly prefering to vassalize any conquest even if they were a single state minor. This was a big issue for Prussia who was rarely every actually gaining any territory directly because of this. Discovering this and working through everything that followed after has led to a pretty major overhaul in the structure of the mod's AI processing. Overall aggression should be lower than previous version, but smarter.

# Added a hidden decision that only the AI can take that will prevent a new civil war from firing while already at war. These nested civil wars are the primary cause of indepedent revolter tags throughout the course of the game, and are the primary cause of late-game bordergore with tiny weird indepdendent countries popping up everywhere. The game simply does not handle these nested wars well; I think as a player however they are more managable, and it is super cheesy to be able to use this button as a player, so it is restricted to just the AI.

# Set define for Minimum War Support from -100 to 0 in accordance with how the mod is overhauling capitulation. There was an issue where wars with multiple combatants would have the current warleader peace-out, but then the new war leader is already below 0 war support because they couldn't capitulate before, and now they never hit 0 support and wont' capitualte. (great use of "equals" rather than "less-than-or-equals", Paradox) This change should fix this issue.

# Reverted all changes to North German unification journal & events. It still seems to be buggy, I don't know what's wrong with it. It feels like the NGF tag itself is buggy somehow. The event & journal entry are reverted vanilla in the mod as of this patch, but I still see giant Prussia skip NGF to Germany. Will be a priority in the next update. What's weird is NGF does definitely trigger sometimes, but not that often.

# Adjusted the decisions added to Britain & Netherlands related to expanding their colonies. Britain's will no longer expand Raj outside of India/Burma. Neither should ever annex a player country.

# Fixed the "fix indepdent raj/DEI" decisions that were not functioning properly previously, & the AI should never steal vassals from you with these decisions now.

# Britian now has an additional decision to directly annex vassals in Malaya, unlockable by the same requirements as it's Raj decisions.

# Russia now has a decision to annex the 3 central asian minors if they are vassals of Russia. This is for the same reason as the others; the AI doesn't actually understand how to annex vassals, and just pushes the normal "annex vassal" button on the very rare occasion that the conditions for it have been met by chance. NOTE: I added this before fixing the Conquer State issues, and now Russia typically will take them directly instead of puppeting them, but left this there in case.

# France now has a decision to annex Algeria if it is France's puppet, again for the same reasons & because France starts with the Algiers state they are clearly intended to take Algeria & did historically (maybe not in 1836, oh well). The issue was Britain/Spain like to Transfer Vassal CB Algeria away from France and then it become a really ugly border due to Algiers state still belonging to France.

# Egypt will no longer conquer down into Ethiopia at the start of the game.

# Liberia is no longer a protectorate of the USA; This is the only way I could figure out how to stop USA from colonizing in West Africa & getting involved in African colonial wars.

# Fixed non-Russian colonizers fascination with Sakhalin. Russia should end up with it every time barring a player getting it. New Zealand should also always be colonized by Britain before any other AI.

# Some values related to when AI decides to naval invade have been adjusted.
