# Update 136

- Fixed an issue where navies were not applying blockade.

- Rebalanced the Economic Dependence debuff to improve gameplay pacing and reduce harshness in managing subjects.

- Merged several decentralized nations to reduce country count and avoid hitting the new 1.9 data structure cap
- This means we didn't need to merge all of Africa
- However, we may introduce a game rule in the future that allows full Africa merging as an option.

- fixed damn bugs

Update: Jun 19 @ 3:59pm

✅ The religions have been fully re-split and the mod is now updated on Steam, Paradox, and GitHub!

This update fixes the 1.9.2 issue caused by the removal of split_religion, which had been breaking about 1000 pop entries. I’ve gone through and manually divided all the affected pops—so things should be working properly now.

If you notice anything weird or out of place (wrong religion, missing pops, etc.), please let me know so I can patch it up quickly!

Update: Jun 19 @ 7:03am

Performance Fixes are here!

- Smekens has developed a script that merges all decentralized African countries at game start to address a major stuttering issue in 1.9. Paradox changed how countries are stored internally, and once that number exceeds ~420, performance tanks hard. This fix brings us back under that limit.

- The merge happens on day one, which means if Paradox improves their data structure later, we can easily re-add the decentralized nations.

- Expect a bit of lag on the first couple of days, but things should smooth out quickly after that.

- Other bug fixes are also in, and...

- All coats of arms have now been standardized into .dds format for better consistency and performance.

- Let us know if you're still running into issues! over at discord #bug-reports

Update: Jun 18 @ 9:42am

The trade system has been fully reworked to integrate with the World Market. Trade Centers have been added to the map, and both they and ports are now owned by Financial Districts, Manor Houses, and trade-based Companies.
Companies have been overhauled and now own territory directly on the map. Many diplomatic pacts have been replaced with diplomatic treaties for more flexibility and flavor.
The number of starting buildings has been reduced to prevent an oversupply of certain goods. Balancing is ongoing, and performance/stutter issues are being investigated.
Full compatibility with 1.9/Charters of Commerce

Found a bug? Please report it on discord in #bug-reports or #suggestions—your input is invaluable!

Thank you everyone for your continued support—and enjoy Basileía Romaíon 1.9!
