Version 2.4.3

Update to Sahara and Sahel to celebrate the release of Ante Bellum 1.9.5

- Mod 'officailly' compatible with version 1.9.5 of Ante Bellum, though in reality it didn't need any updates.
- As it was decided by community vote on Ante Bellum's Discord, it is an overhaul to terrain and province borders in West, Sub-Saharan Africa. This region hasn't received a proper refreshment in over a year and still had mostly vanilla borders which didn't fit in comparison to the rest of the world map.
- Corrected many provinces and city locations in Sahel and Nigeria, so that they mostly follow their irl locations.
- Added smaller, missing lake east of Lake Chad.
- Small fix to Namibia's border.
- Added better terrain to Sahel and tweaked some rivers there.
- New look of the Wastelands in Sahara and new connections to bind separated provinces.

(proper update to Sahara and its many oases will come later with the release of Ante Bellum 1.10 which will add ton of new provinces in North Africa)

Version 2.4.2

Due to popular demand of one person on AB server, there was no choice but to revamp all of Siberia. There it is - complete overhaul to rivers and borders in Siberia, from Novgorod to Kamchatka!

- Revamp and correction of river systems in Siberia. Added dozen of missing major rivers in Siberia and corrected the course of some already existing.
- Created strategic wasteland out of Ural Mountains (part of the Nenets wasteland) that separates European and Asian parts of Siberia.
- Severe expansion of Siberian Wasteland - meant to represent how remote, sparsely-populated and wild the region is.
- Northernmost provinces in Siberia are now only limited to vicinities of major rivers and secluded population centers. Many of the new province shapes are now accessible through many adjecencies.
- Province borders from Novgorod to Machuria all follow rivers much better.
- The update doesn't include terrain texture update and it wasn't much needed (dense trees block any view of terrain).

Version 2.4.1

Final map overhaul of brand new region!! Consider the scope of the submod as finished!!
From now on, work on vanilla port of the mod has been started. Any future updates to this mod will only be corrections to already-updated region and compatibility updates when Ante Bellum adds new provinces.


- Eastern Oceania Update - last completely new update to the region which hasn't been touched on before, so consider the submod completed
- Due to the distorted and inaccurate world projection Paradox used for their vanilla map (mentioned earlier in South America update), making this update was very painful and I'm not 100% happy with the end result but that's the best I could do. Many islands archipelagos do not connect well on this map projection. I decided to place the shift between Easter Island and Society Islands. Easter island has been placed in correct place relative to Americas, while the rest pf Oceania is place correctly relative to Indonesia.
- All islands in the Pacific now have corrected sized, relative locations and number.
- Added over 100 new islands in Oceania, some large archipelagos were completely missing in vanilla game. Some islands (like Samoa province) ever had to bee removed as they didn't exist on real maps.
Minor tweaks to Western coast of Australia - provinces now follow rivers much nicer and are overall more detailed.

While making the update, I've noticed just how badly distorted the continent is. To my best effort, I've managed to get past that and create something at least decent-looking. The continent is still super-squeezed down south but that's the best that can be done. At least it's not noticable that much in political map view.

- Final update to South America - from Panama to Terra Del Fuego
- Complete rework to coastline in South Chile and Patagonia. Added hudreds of islands and inlets there.
- Tweaked some rivers in Argentina. Many borders also follow major rivers now for more 'organic' borders.
- Redrawn the general shape of Patagonia to my best effort to minimize the weird distortion Paradox implemented to squeeze the continent within map limits.
- An adjacency has been created connecting Terra Del Fuego with mainland SA (still can be blocked by ships)
- As it was decided earlier by the poll in AB discord server, two Amazon jungle crossings from Manaus to Peru and Manaus to Colombia have been added
- Paraguay river itself has been added on the map (officially it's all Lake PooPo) in form of impassable lake province. It's been done for strategic reasons. Several adjacencies connect Yareyu province with the ones on the other side. Crossing from Buenos Aires can be blocked by ships, while other crossings on Paraguay river are purely combat obstacle that give river strategic defensive position.
- Added and adjusted some ambient objects around overhauled areas (ex. seals and machu pikchu models).
- New provinces' shapes allow for both historical colonial borders between large areas as well as more organic, irregular borders within them. It's up to you if you're gonna aim for real-life nation borders or let colonies grow gradually.

Version 2.3.2

- Finishing update to North America - overhauled Alaska, Cascadia and Northwestern Territories.
- Complete overhaul to Western Canadian lakes. Number increased from vanilla 10 to about 100.
- Tweaked some river paths in Cascadia.
- Finishing touches to many island chains around the world, namely Hawaii, Galapagos, Falklands, Azores, Maderia, Cape Verde and Cannary Islands.
- Overhaul of all of Norwegian Coastline - the last untouched area in Europe finally being done.
- Adjusted some ambient objects around overhauled areas (ex. seals and bears).

Version 2.3

- Major border overhaul for most of North America (excluding Cascadia and the West Coast) to give some new world content for Ante Bellum but most importantly - to accompany the coming massive new world update of The Lost World submod which is compatible with this submod.
- Borders in North America now follow rivers where it's possible.
- Almost no straight borders or lazy smooth borders are left. They are now much more detailed and follow rivers / natural terrain features.
- Only the historical US border with Mexico and Canada was adjusted/created. The rest is a wild game.
- Overhauled Rocky Mountains wasteland, Appalachian wastelands and Canadian wilderness.
- Overall created a compromise between historical US state borders and organic borders that would form in alternate timeline. It was also needed to keep the areas together.
- New province shapes in Canada allows your explorers to actually reach and discover some of those isolated lakes.

Version 2.2.0 & Version 2.2.1

- 1.37 compatibility update
- Ante Bellum 1.9 compatibility update
- Fully integrated new provinces and wastelands brought in AB 1.9
- Repurposed one of the wastelands in Bohemia and turned it into Ordos Desert in China to allow for smoother wasteland borders there (requested previously by others).

- Complete terrain and borders overhaul of Mexico Region - from Guatemala to the historical US-Mexico border. I felt that since AB 1.9 was such anticipated update, its submod should also receive new content alongside it.
- Added 2 missing lakes in the Aztec part of America.
- Improved and reworked Mexico-US border to be more accurate and follow its historical course.
- Added many missing islands on the west coast of Mexico and few tiny ones in the Gulf of Mexico.
- Reused the Chichen Itza 3D model and duplicated it on the map, so now Mayan temples will appear in other important sites. One even represents the capital of Tlaxcala.
