• Vows will no longer effect the upkeep of knights. This means vows are just for the perks to the Lord/Hero, knight upkeep is always the regular rate and will never suddenly jumpscare you when a lord dies.
• The economy has been flipped. What I mean by this is that Farms now produce significantly less income (50/100/150) and so industry will be your main source of gold.
• Peasant economy increases are moved to farms but are more significant (+1/+2/+3) and the Barracks goes back to not making any archers. In essence, farms increase peasant economy and growth and industry gives gold.
• Staying within the peasant economy now gives a -20% upkeep reduction for peasants instead of -10%, and industry and farms both give less income than they did before put together. This is an economy nerf in some ways, and a buff in others.
• The Tier 5 Royal Chapter Barracks gives +3 capacity to all Royal Men-at-Arms, making it a better return on investment but its price has been increased somewhat. The recruitment cost reduction for Men-at-Arms has been removed from this building.

Put simply, Knights are more accessible, but to adjust for this the economy is a bit weaker and has been flipped. Peasants are cheaper so long as you stay within the limit. This will require future balance patches and feedback to get right, but I feel that this will make Bretonnia feel a lot more fun to play rather than having its mechanics fighting with itself. For those that like the Royal Men-at-Arms, your late game has become more interesting!

My personal favourite part of this change is that the farms (which gives you access to your archer units) are now the intended building for the peasant playstyle, but both buildings remain an integral part of your game plan.
