Changes
  • The Painbringer’s Second attack now has it either float above and in front of the player or just above you depending on movement direction and speed.
    - The Giant Skulls of Pain attack now aim slightly ahead of the player depending on how fast the player is moving
    - Velocity of certain attacks tweaked
  • Spectre Star renamed to “Spectral Star”
    - Now only restores 100 mana when picked up
  • The Asteroid Staff minion now attacks slightly faster
    - It now also aims slightly ahead of fast moving enemies, making it catch up to them more easily

v2.6.2
Changes
  • Some TRAE compatibility changes have been removed, only the weapon mana cost and Inferno Souls drop behaviour remain
  • The Painbringer has been revamped to hopefully be fairer to be overall less unfair
    - A lot of its attacks have been slowed down, in both fire rate and velocity, and the amount of projectiles they create, the damage has also been reduced for some attacks
    - The First attack remains unchanged, asides from the universal changes above
    - The second attack now has the boss launch projectiles upwards that obey gravity and fall down, and the boss remains above and in front of the player
    - The third attack now has the boss creating the pattern with a single set of skulls instead of 4, but fire rate increased, and the patterns can now have 7 projectiles
    - The Fourth attack projectiles now disappear after a short time after being launched, and the projectiles no longer damage you when stationary
    - The Fifth and Sixth attacks have been switched around.
    - The Now fifth attack has the boss moving to one side, summoning 3 walls of projectiles from said side, before flying to the other side and creating 3 more walls, it repeats this pattern for the whole attack, it does not summon projectiles when moving to the other side
    - The Now sixth attack only summons 1 projectile at a time, at a slightly faster fire rate. However it remains stationary for a longer time, and homes in for a shorter time with a lower homing speed (Also they still don’t damage you when stationary)
    - The 7th remains unchanged, asides from the universal changes above
    - The 8th attack has been revamped, now it summons 2 giant skulls that dash towards the player a total of 7/8/9/10 times, with the time between dashes being lower on higher difficulties, the skulls also lose 10% damage each time they hit you
    - The Shattered Crystal Phase remains unchanged, asides from the universal changes above
    - The Final attack has a slightly thinner max spread, and the burst of projectiles now move much slower with fewer projectiles, and they now rotate in flight (visual effect only)
    - For damage values: (Classic/Expert/Master/Legendary)
    - Damage of attacks 1, 2, 3, and 7 lowered from 140/220/300/360 to 140/200/270/330 (Normal and weighted shots)
    - Damage of attacks 4, 5, 6, and 8 lowered from 120/180/240/330 to 110/160/210/270 (Charging, Homing, Wall, and Giant Attacks)
    - Damage of the Shattered Crystals attacks lowered from 140/220/300/360 to 120/180/240/300 normally and 110/160/210/270 when rapidly firing
    - Damage of the final attack damage lowered from 140/220/300/360 to 120/180/240/300, and 108/162/216/270 for the ring attack
    - It now also has a different boss icon for each phase
  • Ultimate pain has also had some nerfs, to damage, attack rate, and projectile velocity
    - Damage reduced from 150/180/240/360 to 120/160/200/300
    - Still very difficult though ;)
  • The Staff of the Painbringer (And its secret variant) damaged lowered from 200 to 175
  • The Ancient Husk Health lowered from 10,000/14,000/18,000 to 8,000/12,000/16,800
  • The Lightning Scepter use time increased from 12 to 15
  • Bow of the Wyverns damage reduced from 32 to 28
  • The Vaporiser damage increased from 70 to 90
    - Now summons spikes at the end of its reach when thrown
  • The Frozen Sprit Staff minion damage lowered from 25 to 20
    - Projectiles now have 5 armour penetration
  • The Asteroid Staff Minion damage reduced from 50 to 45
    - The minion now dashes at a slower pace
  • Frost arrows now only create 2 shards that deal 25% damage of the arrow
    - They are now launched in the opposite direction that the arrow was travelling
    - Damage of the arrows lowered from 15 to 10
  • The Sprinting in the rain buff now only increases movement speed by 20% instead of 50%
  • The Granite Core damage boost duration lowered from 4 seconds to 3
  • The Warrior’s Trophy now grants +15% crit chance when above 66% life
    - The Dust effects of the 3 and the tinker no longer appear if the respective accessory is hidden
  • The Biome core now requires 3 souls of light and night in place of bones, locking it to hardmode
  • The Ancient Scarab extra damage buff lowered from 20% to 18%, and now falls off over 1.5 seconds instead of 3.2
  • The Spectre Skull revamped.
    - Enemies killed when not at full mana have a chance to drop a Spectre Star that restores 200 mana on pick up
    - It also grants the Spectre Star Buff for 5 seconds that increases magic damage up to 25%, depending on the duration remaining
    - Duration caps at 10 seconds
    - No longer grants +40 max mana
    - The changes apply to its tinker too, but do not stack
  • The Inferno Soul Crown no longer grants any summoner damage buffs
  • Inferno Soul Greaves movement speed boost lowered from 25% to 15%
  • Santank Greaves movement speed boost lowered from 25% to 20%
  • Asteroid Leggings movement speed boost lowered from 50 to 25%
  • The Spectre Empowerment potion increases magic damage by 20% below half mana instead of 15%
  • The Lunar Derplings names have been reverted to their original names before V1.7
    - Blazling, Stormling, Brainling, Starling, and Starling Minion
Bug Fixes
  • The Enhanced Healing Potion potion sickness duration is correctly reduced with the Philosopher’s Stone and its tinkers equipped.

  • Twilight Armour stats have been changed:
    - The hood now grants 8% damage and crit
    - The robe now grants 10% damage, no crit, and acceleration bonus increased
    - The leggings now grant 10% crit, no damage, and jump speed bonus increased
  • The Shredder immunity frames increased from 7 to 10, meaning it hits less often
    - Damaged reduced from 60 to 52
  • Updated the Martian Dart Launcher sprite again

  • Added the Zephyr Feather, obtained by shimmering a Giant Harpy, Bone, Ice, or Fire Feather.
    - On use it permanently increased you movement speed and acceleration by 10%
    - Has Munchies - Consumables Checklist support
  • Added the Cleansing Charm, obtained by shimmering a broken heart
    - On use it removes any of the shimmer upgrade effects if the player has them.
    - The tooltip will show what items the player has consumed
    - Can remove the effects from the following items:
    - Vital Crystal, Aegis Fruit, Arcane Crystal, Ambrosia, Gummy Worm, Galaxy Pearl, Artisan Load, Zephyr Feather

  • The Liberated Husk pet is now a light pet that orbits around the player
  • The Eye of the Storm has been renamed to the “Cyclone Emblem”
  • The Storm Charm and all its tinkers lightning now only arcs to 3 extra enemies and deals 40% damage each time
    - However stacking 2 of them increases the arcs to 4 enemies with 55% damage each time, stacking all 3 further increases it to 5 arcs with 70% damage
  • The Eye of the Derpling and its tinkers now only increase crit damage by 12% instead of 15%
  • The Hornet’s Sting mana usage reduced from 8 to 7, and projectile velocity slightly increased
  • The Shroomite Launcher named to “Shroomite Hybrid Launcher”
  • The gear dropped from the Lunatic Cultist Rarity lowered from Red to Cyan
  • The Celestial Emblem no longer grants 25 defence when healing the player
  • Updated the Harmonia Wings inventory sprite
Bug Fixes
  • Ultimate Pain now only spawns on GetFixedBoi worlds as intended instead of just remix worlds (I got the two mixed up)

    - The Mysterious Skull seems to be acting strangely on this worlds, might wanna check it out
    Weapons
  • Added the Toxic Sludge Cannon, rare drop from Toxic Sludge’s
    - Uses gel as ammo, each shot fires out a projectile of toxic sludge, that on impact with enemies or tiles bursts into 4-5 smaller sludge blobs that stick to tiles.
    - The Small sludge blobs deal 33% the damage of the main projectile, and can hit enemies up to 3 times (2 in the air, resets to 3 upon sticking to a tile), and have 8 armour penetration,
    - The small blobs use static immunity frames but only for 5 frames (10 in the air)
    - Inflicts the Toxic Sludged Debuff, which deals 20DoT and slows down enemies (4 seconds for main sludge projectile, 1 second for the small blobs)
    - Enemies immune to poisoned don’t take damage from the debuff but still are affected by the slowdown
  • Added the Acid Venom Sludge Cannon, crafted from the Toxic Sludge Cannon and Viles of Venom
    - Functions as a stronger Toxic Sludge Cannon, but with Acid Venom sludge projectiles and inflicted the Acid Venom Sludged debuff, which deals 35 DoT and has a slightly stronger slowdown effect.
    - Enemies immune to Acid Venom don’t take damage from the debuff but still are affected by the slowdown
  • Added the Jungle Spore Gun, crafted from Rich mahogany Wood, Jungle Spores, and an evil material
    - Fires out unstable jungle spores that on tile or enemy impact stay in place and explode after a short delay
    - The orbs deal 100% damage if they hit a tile or 60% if they hit an enemy + 4 armour penetration
  • Added The Hornet’s Sting, rare drop from Moss Hornets once all 3 mechs have been defeated
    - Rapidly fires out stingers that stick to enemies and inflict a stacking Stung debuff, and have 5 armour penetration
    - The debuff deals 4 dot per stack and up to 15 stingers can be stuck to an enemy at anything, for a total of 60 dot at max stingers.
    - Stingers only last for 5 seconds upon hitting an enemy
    - Weapon also loses accuracy as the player drains mana, with no spread at full mana and a large spread at very low mana
  • Added the Satchel Charge and Satchel Charge Detonator
    - Purchased from the Demolitionist Post Plantera, the detonator costs 30 Gold and Each Satchel charge costs 50 silver
    - A Satchel Charge can be thrown using the detonator, and it will stick to surfaces, and can be detonated by right clicking. Only 1 can be thrown out at a time.
    - It will create a massive explosion destroying tiles in a very large radius
    - It damages enemies, town NPCs, and the player, with 1000 damage unaffected by any modifiers
    - Charges can be disarmed by holding up and right clicking
    Accessories
  • Added The Eye of the Storm, crafted with Whirlpool emblem and Eye of the Dungeon
    - Every other use of a weapon fires out a coral whirlpool that homes into enemies and pierces twice
    - It deals 33% the damage of the weapon with 30% fall off each hit
  • Added Storm Charm, rare drop from Angry Nimbuses
    - Critically striking an enemy with any weapon causes a lightning bolt to arc up to 4 other enemies
    - Each enemy hit deals 50% the damage of the last hit
  • Added Shock Quiver, tinker of the Magic Quiver and the Storm Charm
    - Combines the effects of both accessories, does not stack with either
    Potions
  • Added the Flask of Frost, a flask that allows melee weapons and whips to inflict frostburn
    - Crafted from bottled water and ice torches
  • Added the Flask of Explosives, a flask that allows melee weapons and whips to create a small explosion on struck enemies.
    - The explosion does not damage the stuck enemy, only surrounding enemies, and only the first hit enemy by a sword/melee projectile will cause the explosion.
    - Channelling melee weapons create an explosion every amount of frames equal to the item animation
    - Explosion deals half the damage of the attack the triggered it
    Ammo
  • Added Gem bullets, crated from one of the seven gems and musket balls
    - Each type mines tiles on impact, with amethyst being the weakest and Diamond being the strongest
    - Amethyst: 40% pickaxe power, mines twice
    - Topaz: 50% pickaxe power, mines twice
    - Sapphire: 45% pickaxe power, mines thrice
    - Emerald: 55% pickaxe power, mines thrice
    - Ruby: 50% pickaxe power, mines four times
    - Amber: 55% pickaxe power, mines four times
    - Diamond: 55% pickaxe power, mines four times
Changes
  • Mysterious Skull respited
  • The Staff of the Painbringer can no longer be shimmered into The Paingiver
  • The Ancient Husk now changes to its second phase at 60% life instead of 50%
  • The Painbringer and all related gear recoloured from deep pink to red
  • The disable screenshake option has been replaced with an intensity slider from 0 to 10, with 0 being disabled, and 10 being the most intense, 5 is the default
    - The number determines the shake distance from the centre, and also half the duration of the shake
  • (Internal change) The “Basefiles” folder has been renamed to “Common”
    Weapons
  • Lightning Scepter overhauled
    - Now fires out a single orb of lightning, which on impact with an enemy can jump to 3 other enemies at once dealing 33% damage, or 4 enemies at 50% damage if it hits a tile
    - Damage increased from 40 to 80, usetime reduced from 22 to 12, and mana cost reduced from 10 to 8
  • The Sticky Mine Detonator Mines can be disarm thrown mines by right clicking while holding up
    - Mines can be thrown out every 20 frames instead of 30
  • The Forbidden Fury’s arrows now travels much faster
  • Spinner weapons now have a short delay between spins to prevent spam clicking to get a higher dps
  • The Painbringer now has a new quote when it changes to its final phase, and the hit taunts are also different in the phase
  • The Motorized Pizza Cutter now has a -1 range bonus
    - The Pizza blade it summons now has 10% damage fall off and can only hit up to 8 times instead of 10
  • The Shredder tool time increased from 10 to 4, but axe power reduced from 150% to 110%
  • The Super charged rifle charge speed is now affected by speed modifiers
  • Slightly reduced the bullet spread for both fire modes of Santa’s Explosive Boomstick
  • The fragments summoned from the Asteroid whip now explode on impact with a small explosion radius that can hit up to 3 enemies
  • The Storm Diver Shotgun now starts with a much tighter spread, but still takes the same amount of time to reach max accuracy
    - Now has a visual line for all 5 bullets
    - Increased bullet speed at all charge rates
    Accessories
  • Whirlpool emblem sprite updated
  • Insulated cuffs now require only 5 insulated fabric instead of 10

Bug fixes
  • The Equinox right click attack sound should no longer cut itself off at lower use times
