New update:
-added scripted setup for solitaire (basically adding 2 cards and an opponent),
-added scripted setup for 2-3 players and 4 players (adding cards and flipping a few cards to the correct size)

As I'm learning more about scripting, I also learn more about how NOT to do it (referring to objects directly and using global variables are bad practices, as a few examples). I'll probably revisit this some time, but for now it's functional.

now added player mats for 3rd and 4th players, a bit of cleaning, as well as some basic scripting (still a WIP!).
