  • Added the "King's Wall" as an obstacle for the dwarfs. Available to Clan Angrund's King Lunn.
  • Change the Stake's charge reflector attribute to charge reflector vs large.

  • Some tweaks to melee damage and stuff. 0 MA, but 50 bonus vs large, and then 5 damage and 5 AP damage.
  • Peasants now get a leadership buff passive that buffs the stakes while they are close by. The stakes themselves now have 0 leadership. I think this system better prevents the player from building the stakes, and abandoning them as a decoy for the ai to chase down, wasting their time.
  • New death and resurrect (plays when the stakes spawns) animations. Because of this the stakes are no longer jostled by enemies during collisions. Nor do they slide around when dying.
  • Not sure if there are any submods for this, but be aware that this update introduces a new animation set "dp1_sharpened_stake".

Updated for 1.9.0.

  • Removed glowing zombie eyes
  • Stakes are now classified as constructions
  • Stakes are now silent

  • Dropped stake missile resistance to 50%.
  • Added several restrictions for when the ability can be used. Can't be used while in melee, on walls, with broken leadership, etc. That should help guide the AI into better use of it too.
  • Added the ability to Fire and Pox bowmen.

Renamed the ability "Place Defensive Stakes", adopting Warhammer Fantasy's terminology.
Switched the animation set to hu1_skeleton_spear_and_shield. I *think* this takes care of the stakes sliding around after they "die".

The stakes should properly crumble now.
Increased stake mass too 100,000(!) to prevent them from being pushed around.
There's still an issue with them appearing to be pushed around after they "die", gotta think that one through.
