Mod Workspace:[/u]

-all forces are now divided by their own separate config file; tests of existing scenarios was successful, provided that all scenarios engaged in “Force Loading” of the config file contents


OPFOR: Republic of Iraq:

-entire force retired and removed; Republic of Iraq assets and configurations for missions will now be provided by the Republic of Iraq Forces (1990-1991) mod to avoid redundancy

Mod:

-process has begun to clean up mod syntax

-in-depth examination of all forces is underway; thumbnails are being retaken and sizes are being reduced to lower total mod storage requirements; vehicles and assets are being modernized based on the latest base models available

-all “forces” are being separated into their own configuration file for ease of management

-macros will not be utilized

-some things may be broken as this process is undertaken


BLUFOR: Global Defense Initiative: Early Tiberium War I

United States Forces:

-stitched GDI shoulder patch adopted as standard

-Rocket Soldier (M72A6 LAW and FIM-92 Stinger) weapons verified; both launchers are disposable single-shot platforms; backpacks with ammunition are officially retired

-Rocket Soldier (FIM-92 Stinger) and Radioman maximum magazine capacity increased from 7 to 9

-Combat Medic medical supplies increased; smoke grenade types expanded; blood, saline, and plasma levels verified

-Engineer (rifle) configuration corrected for syntax errors; intended loadout now appears correctly

-Engineer (unarmed) vest changed to no longer denote grenade pouches and pistol holster

-Technician wirecutters removed

-U.N. Delegate ability to throw grenades removed

-Vehicle Crewman canteen count increased to 2

-Helicopter Pilot and Crew Chief grenade types modified; medical supplies adjusted

-Pilot pistol changed to M1911 with 5 magazines total; medical supplies and smoke grenade types adjusted; entrenching tool removed; flashlight changed to Fulton MX-991

-“TOW Tripod” turret renamed to “M220 TOW”

-M252 81mm Mortar and M119 105mm Howitzer added

-HMMWV M2 redesignated M1025 (M2) based on existing CUP assets; equipment storage modified; 7.62mm 100-round ammunition features red tracers; M1025 (Unarmed), M1036 (M220/TOW), M1038 (2 and 4-seater, cargo, Ammunition, Repair), and M997 Ambulance added

-MTVR truck series (all variants) base model switched from CUP British Armed Forces to CUP United States Army; custom textures disabled; equipment storage adjusted

-M113A1 APC equipment storage verified to include proper smoke grenades; equipment storage now includes 2x M72A6 LAWs; M113A1 HQ and M113A1 MEV added

-M113A3 base model replaced with CUP M113A3 U.S. Army model; equipment storage now includes 2x M72A6 LAWs; custom textures disabled; entire vehicle hidden, for now

-M60A3 TTS, M1A1SA, AH-1Z, UH-1D (standard, Armed, Gunship, Slick), UH-60 (standard, FFV, Unarmed, and MEDVAC), and UH-60 (standard, unarmed, FFV, and MEDVAC) added; FFV passenger seats are inaccessible due to an issue caused by implementation of custom gunners in turret positions

-CH-47 Chinook (all available variants) equipment storage implemented and verified; custom textures disabled

-A-10A loadout defined with custom classes; custom texture disabled; asset made available for close air support deployment options, but this does not appear to be functional; the A-10A is unable to perform close air support via Zeus fire support module due to an issue at the base class-level

-groups expanded to incorporate more assets; group icons changed where appropriate and available


British Forces:

-HC-4 pilot was mistakenly assigned from U.S. GDI forces; pilot is now part of British GDI forces


Issues:

-UH-60 Fire From Vehicle (FFV) passenger seats are inaccessible due to an issue caused by implementation of custom gunners in turret positions

-A-10A is unable to perform close air support via Zeus fire support module due to an issue at the base class-level

-recent examination of scenarios has confirmed that changes to ARMA III over the last 3 years have resulted in music no longer playing properly; reevaluation of scenarios is required

-“Take Em Out” and “Just Do It” music clips added for scenario under development.

-CnC Community Discord group flag and poster added.

-as a test, some icons from the list of NATO military map icons added (Source: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/NATO_Military_Map_Symbols)
-icons include Engineers and Armor (Light)
-the code for this addition has been included, but is otherwise not yet available until more in-depth testing is resumed

OPFOR: Brotherhood of Nod:

-incorrect base class reference caused an error with the African and Middle Eastern Forces’ BRDM-2 ATGM to fire ballistic rounds instead of antitank missiles. This has been corrected, and likewise yields some enlightenment on how base class references and models can interact (or fail to interact properly)


CIVFOR:
Civilian Forces:

-Al Jazeera and Sudan TV (Sudan National Broadcasting Corporation (SNBC)) media organization flags and posters added in preparation for scenario under development.

-existing assets for Red Cross icons utilized to make Red Cross flag and map marker available.

Westwood News:

-Westwood News poster and retextured van added.

OPFOR: Republic of Iraq:

-Mi-171Sh (Unarmed and Rockets) added. Compared to the Mi-8 variants, this type transports fewer soldiers, but has a pylon variant that mounts an additional rocket pod and includes a rear gunner. Iraqi forces were noted to use both helicopter types.

-helicopter crews added to all Mi-8s and variants.

-composition Groups Mi-8MT (Medevac) Team added. This team incorporates an Mi-8MT (Medevac) Helicopter with 4 Iraqi Army Combat Medics as an alternative to an attempt to force a Combat Medic into an Mi-8MT (Medevac) Helicopter based on an existing entry found in the CUP Vehicles Mi-8 configuration, which ultimately failed after several attempts.

-compositions Groups redefined and reclassified to better conform to ARMA III naming convention. Some groups renamed accordingly.

-all compositions Groups are now identified with the appropriate NATO “OPFOR” strategic icons.

-Republican Guard Mi-24D Hind Element was not available in the 3Den Editor due to a misnamed class label. This has been corrected. All Mi-24D Hind Elements now have an established minimum and maximum altitude for Zeus deployment.
