"Pioneer" Laser Frigate

The Pioneer is meant to be a cost effective, quick reaction warship that boasts small but effective firepower. It relies on a combination of >1g acceleration and long range lasers to get the job done. It is very lightly armored because throwing heavy armor plates onto the hull would actually reduce the survivability of the ship and its crew. Since it can accelerate over 1g, it will be far out of the way of any projectiles or missiles that are fired at it, provided you drop your external fuel tanks and jink (scatter) once the enemy starts to unleash all hell upon you.
