What does it do?
It adds support for A-10s of the mod Firewill.

Dependencies
The mod is dependent on the core mod The Mighty GAU-8 Avenger and A-10 Warthog Series Standalone by Firewill[forums.bistudio.com].

You can see it on the linked GitHub, the code is open-source. The gun is called Gatling_30mm_Plane_CAS_01_F, see https://github.com/Zabuzard/MightyGau-8Avenger/blob/master/src/addons/MG8_core/config.cpp#L74

Is this broken or something I have my sound at 5% and my ears are bleedin? Do you have to configure this somehow to make it like normal level? I'd love to have the sound but placing a A-10C in front of me makes me deaf, like properly. it hurts my ears and I hear nothing else.

Any ideas?

@zabuza he added support, and it works. has for some time. reccommend deleting this mod to avoid confusion. that said, thank you for the good times that it brought, and the fun, and most of all, the holy BRRRRRRRRRT!

The addon was created before Firewill added support himself. It might not be needed anymore, I never tested it since then.

What is the difference between this compatibility mod and just using the Mighty GAU-8 mod with Firewill's built-in support?

@Mason dude if you actually pay attention, you CAn hear the BRRRT, its just quiet due to soundtrack and boom of rounds hitting ground
