The track itself is very hard to see when compared to the things around it.

yeah i see the issue, when you have to brighten your own settings to fix visibility on a map then it is bad, and the road should be at least silver metal or something. Guess You learn with mistakes. it was a huge project for me at the time, tried to make my first city map.

This track is a chore to race in. I can't diferentiate what's track, what's scenery. Everything just blends in...

i never had an issue with optimization in this game. so i cannot really tell

Pretty good, unfortunately the road textures kinda look "muddy" and the track itself seem to suffer from poor optimization even when playing solo (without AI or any custom craft).
