The EK-82X Alicorn 'Scabre' is the product the second stage of Project Phoenix, as well as intensive research and development by EK Aerospace and OXRaM Galactic. With superor speed and power to all other post-scarlett cataclysm aircraft, it is the natural sucessor to the EK-4C and surely the most deady of the 4th generation sylvian-built jet fighters.

The EK-82X Alicorn Scabre is a super-heavy fighter for high speed, high altitude attacks on heavily armored targets. It's specially designed airframe and hybrid closed-cycle engines also enable it to engage targets in orbit such as satillites and shuttles. In addition to standard countermeasure systems, the EK-82X is also equipped with a meson-lattice shield system capable of enveloping the entire airframe with a robust energy barrier.

However, such a specailized and highly-engineered craft comes as a much larger price. At almost double the cost of a standard sylvian interceptor, the Alicorn is one of the most expensive single-pilot fighters ever produced by the Twilight Guard. In addition, OXRaM's space-capable engine assembly that gives the Alicorn it's speed and versatility has an extremely high operating cost and an effective flight time of a mere 16.5 minutes. As a result, the Alicorn is only deployed periodically during extremely specialized operations.
