Steyr-Mannlicher M1895

The service rifle of the Austro-Hungarian Empire up to the end of the First World War. Unlike contemporary bolt-action rifles that used Mauser-type turn bolts, the Mannlicher used a straight-pull bolt, which greatly increased the fire rate of the weapon. It however loaded using en-bloc clips, which made reloading the weapon significantly less convenient than it's peers.
Nevertheless, it was a powerful rifle that saw service in many countries, and even served as the basis for the Canadian Ross Rifle.

Name: Steyr-Mannlicher M1895

Manufacturer: Steyr
Class: bolt-action rifle
Caliber: 8x50mmR Mannlicher. Later variants were chambered in 8x56mmR and 7.92x57mm Mauser
Action: straight-pull bolt action
Ammunition type: en-bloc clip in internal magazine
Ammunition capacity: 5 round en-bloc clip in internal magazine
weight: 3.78 kg

Please report any bugs you find.

Go to the left of the menu, look for the addons tab, then look for the name of the addon.

I do not recall changing any file paths, but I apologize if I did.

I generally prefer using the more common designations over military ones.

Moon that was my old M95 it did not work anymore because you changed the file-path to the models, thus i had to take it down. but i made a new one

the gun would be called the Gewehr M95 (or the Mannlicher-Gewehr 1895)
the Gewehr 98 (or Mauser Gewehr 1898)
I obviously agree with moon deciding to name it the Styer Mannlicher M95, rather than it's military designation. but yeah, I still love you Moon for porting all these models :)

There was more than one swep of this though.

Your link goes nowhere. It was removed from the workshop. I've looked for this rifle for over 9 months. (I'm an Austro-Hungarian officer on the WW1 RP server.) I will continue to search, because I hate it when all the Central Powers are armed with WW2-era Kar 98k.

I know that Gewehr means rifle. I said it was a bad idea to put it in the name of this one to avoid confusion with the G98, specially since this rifle is commonly known as Steyr-Mannlicher or just Mannlicher.

There is a swep of this on the workshop.

"Gewehr" is German for rifle. The "M 95" stands for model 1895, not Mannlicher. It's too bad there isn't a working swep for this rifle, as I would love to include it in the WW1 trench warfare RP I'm working with.
