“Carved into the walls of a crumbling cathedral is a legend; Of crafty mortals using the heart of a dead god to ascend beyond mortality. How their desire doomed all around them to a blight in ash. It's thought there is more, a conclusion, to this legend but nothing else has been found. Beyond the village walls and chasm lies half a volcano that once bathed the lands in mountains of ash, choking it’s people and burying their crops. Long abandoned are the mystical gates that once confined the red death to it’s source, only now with the winds does some of the dust clear to reveal the life underneath.”
