The Bifold-Class Imitation Strike Fighter is a light cargo hauler, disguised as a Heavy Assault Fighter. With dual Imitation Strike cannons, no lightly armed vessel will want to take on the bifold. Mounted on the belly of the craft is a auto-targeting Gatling Turret to eliminate ground targets when landing or to fend off attackers from below. The Bifold also includes one forward-mounted gatling gun for light offence with enough storage containers to hold both your ammo, and carry valuable material and resources from location to location. Propulsion systems are based off of Ion and atmospheric thrusters, so in theory this can land on Earth, however, it is not capable of escaping the atmosphere due to lack of thrust.

The Bifold, is your hauler when the fight is all about resources.


"Bifold" stands for two or dual folds, because the strike cannons originally (on the HAF) folded down; It was named "Bifold" because of the dual Strike Cannons.

Not capable of flying in any atmosphere where the gravity is above 0.5g. Intended for flight amongst moons (including atmospheric ones) and space travel.

Due to a issue with Space Engineers, Gatling Turrets, Missile Turrets and Interior Turrets have extreme difficulty targeting and firing at targets for both small, large and station grids.

Activating Scripts: Please press [9] on the first tab to activate pre-installed scripts.

Viewing a Camera: Press [ and ] to cycle through cameras when viewing any camera through a terminal.

So, after realizing there was no way for the ship to be vanilla and still worth anything, I'm going to attempt to supergrid a couple large grid rocket launchers with the option of using the large grid railgun mod

Still working out all the kinks. I'm also co-opting with a friend on a frigate/cruiser build. Hopefully, the first version will be out this weekend of the 'Strix' assault/strike fighter.
