Saint Valier is my take at a tropical Caribbean island. The Island is of volcanic origin and the submerged caldera provides a deep harbour. The island is surrounded by coral reefs and it also sports several pristine beaches. In the northern parts the last remnants of the volcano rises above the rest of the island covered in dense vegetation.

With this map I wanted to emulate the various "tax-haven" islands of the Carribean. Tiny nations centered around tourism and dodgy economical dealings. A mix between old colonialism and modern capitalism.
