I was always able to sterilize my animals. So yeah, it’s part of the base game now

I depended on this mod a lot during my last phase of Rimworld playing. It would be super awesome to see an update for 1.4!

Alternative mod

Any alternative mod that supports 1.0 and 1.1?

From what I can tell based on my experience updating my own mods, I think this mod only needs 2 very small changes to be up to date for v 1.1. The About.xml file just needs the basic changes for 1.1 [i.e replace <targetVersion> with <supportedVersions><li>1.0</li><li>1.1</li></supportedVersions> and add the new <packageId>ModAuthor.ModName.Specific</packageId> field].
And since v1.1 makes descriptions mandatory, the HediffDefs_[Spayed|Neutered].xml just needs to have a <description>Cannot breed or some text like this.</description> field added.
If the mod author sees this, do you mind if we edit the mod locally and use it just for ourselves? Apologies if that's a dumb question, this is one of only 2 Rimworld mods I've ever downloaded from Steam (I wrote all of my other mods myself and just use them locally), so I've never actually encountered this situation before.

I'd really appreciate an update for 1.1 for this mod in particular. I really like that this mod just does what it says, without being super complicated. I don't want to use a mod that adds separate body parts for every reproductive organ, or ones that make humans capable of reproducing. I just want to be able to neuter some of my dogs (bc I don't want to kill them or sell them to strangers, but they just won't stop breeding). The only conflict I think it has with 1.1 (at least when I tried to load a 1.1 game with this mod, ignoring the 'not compatible' warning) is that with 1.1, all hediffs now have to have some (non-empty) description, and the 'Neutered'/'Spayed' hediff doesn't currently. Love this mod, would really love to have a compatible version!
