Low Floor. Elegant and Futuristic. Made by the people who built T-90.

One of the main objectives of the R1 tram is to change residents’ attitudes to the very idea of public transport. R1 will increase the appeal of public transport, highlighting the new power of Russian transport engineering. Considering the different tasks and opportunities of customers, there are plans to introduce trams of several classes. The variability of the trams lies with its various configurations, while the design and engineering quality remains the same. Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s production base also remains unchanged for all the series.

Chief designer of the project Alexey Maslov describes his approach with the formula:

VEHICLE + ARCHITECTURE = VEHITECTURE

This synthetic term best reflects the new interdisciplinary space of vehicle design and architecture where the concept of R1 was created. .

Trying to decide between subscribing for your version or DANZ's version. His looks slightly better because of the whole tram being line colored... you have one more variant. Choices choices...

@REV0 Let me start by saying I love your assets. I subscribe almost all your trains.

I wanted to ask, did you resolve the UVZ trams clipping into one another? I used to subscribe them but when two of these met on a line, one would clip into the other (with their top sides) as if they thought their lowest front and back parts were the ends (same happened when these met with trucks), and it didn't look so good.

I also wanted to ask if you were interested in making 2 more trams? Since Alstom is so far quite badly represented on this Workshop I thought I'd ask the train expert to rectify that :)
- Alstom 402 (2013-2014) from Dubai
- Alstom 302 (2013-2014) from Paris (T7 & T8)
They seem to be the best looking models Alstom has produced so far :)
