This Modification adds the gas turbine-electric locomotive (GTEL) first generation of the Union Pacific Railroad to the game.

Technical Details:
- Vmax : 105 km/h
- Power : 3.400 kW
- Tractive effort : 650 kN
- Availability : 1952 to 1969

@sakkkuth @Maik saw thiis comment, while it is a few mods down my list, the 3rd gen is on it. Depending by the time it becomes first, will depend on if its TpF1 or TpF2

Interesting idea. I have to check this. The 2nd and 3Rd Gen is not on my list yet. I can make the 3D model but I need some help for the textures.

This is a hoot! Thank you for bringing this oddball to the game.

So, i noticed the sound for this is a diesel engine..... So i edited the game file for this to use the aircraft_jet_old sound file that the comet uses..... Oh man that bought a smile to my face, makes it sound like a jet turbine then :)

I really hope a 3rd gen comes to exist, that would be perfect :)

Love this mod, one of my most used freight engines, any chance we will see the 2nd and possibly 3rd generation models

If you could just make the 1st Generation GTEL colorable and use the logos from the game as that fits my expectations better, then that would be amazing! Love these locos but it's just that they are railroad dependant.
