WoT models: FV215 Heavy Gun Tank

Ragdolls of the HD FV215 as it appear in World of Tanks.

Turret and main gun are ragdolled. The various hatches on the tank are rigged and can be moved with a bone tool. Chassis, turret and gun are bodygrouped. Wheels are rigged and can be moved. There is an extra version with a ragdolled AA machinegun.

FV215 Heavy Gun Tank

A specialized anti-tank vehicle developed from the FV214 Conqueror and meant to counter heavy Soviet armor such as the IS-3. As the 120mm L1 gun was deemed insufficient for dealing with the frontal armor of the IS-3, a new anti-tank vehicle was designed mounting the enormous 183mm L4 gun, itself developed from a WW1 howitzer. Due to the size and the weight of the gun, the turret was moved to the rear of the vehicle. While this turret possessed a 360 degree traverse, it was only feasible to fire the gun from the front due to the immense recoil energy produced. The vehicle carried a total of 16 HESH rounds for the gun, which during testing had been capable of ripping off a Centurion turret with a single shot, and splitting a Conqueror mantle in half with another. The colossal destructive power of this gun made it capable of obliterating even the heaviest armor of the time with ease, while also allowing the vehicle to act as artillery if necessary.
However, the development of lighter ATGM systems made the need for such an enormous vehicle void, and the project was cancelled with only a wooden mockup built.
