King of the Hill

King of the Hill is a custom Versus gamemode for Serious Sam 3, based off the well-known gametype across many games, such as Halo and Perfect Dark. In the gamemode, your objective is to take control of a certain point on the map, known as "the hill" for as long as possible to score points. The longer you stay on the hill, the more points you earn. But if people try to take the hill from you, it will be up to you fend them off, because if multiple people try to take the hill, nobody will be earning points. The person with the most points at the end of the match wins the game.

King of the Hill is playable on all maps that also support the Deathmatch gamemode. For default maps, the hills will spawn on pre-determined locations. For non-default maps, the hills will randomly spawn at the same locations as items on the map. If a map does not have more than five items on it, it will not be playable on King of the Hill.
