'Splodin Squigs

Not satisfied with your Squigs? Want to have more of an Ooomph to them? Want to leave a very lasting impression on the battlefield? Then this unit is for you, have some exploding Squigs!
(Suicidal, heavily mushroom-addicted Night Goblins included for free!)


'Splodin Squigs are an unusual subspecies of Squig, possessing multiple stomachs, each containing a thick broth of unstable digestive chemicals.
When agitated, most often simply by active shaking, its digestive juices combine into a combusting liquid, causing the Squig to explode in a shower of meat, teeth and bone. Orcs are known to force-feed these Squigs metal bits to enhance their lethality.


This very unique unit was apparently meant to be released with the King & Warlord DLC but wasn't finished up, so as I found it in the database I thought I might as well do it myself to make it useful.

Essentially this is a rather expensive, but very powerful kamikaze attack unit which creates a huge explosion and does a lot of damage, especially to unarmored enemies within a large radius.
Due to the special mechanics involved, this unit is pretty useless against low & single model units (Heroes & Lords) and can't be used with its special attack against gates at all.

While this unit has Vanguard Deployment and is Unbreakable, it only has a very low health pool and even a single properly focused missile unit can take it out before it hits anything, so a very fast or sneaky approach is recommended to make good use out of the single attempt you have available to cause maximum carnage.

Upon melee contact with any enemy, this unit will explode and damage and throw back every unit unfortunate enough to be close enough to its large effect radius.


This unit has the same recruitment requirements as Night Goblin Squig Hoppers, so you need to build a Squig Pen and research the technology Squig Ridin'. You can only own up to 3 of these at once.
