For some reason I can't walk smoothly up from a catwalk stairs to your the 1x1x1 solid block stairs. It's like there's an invisible ledge I need to jump over to proceed. I tried both orientations just in case, but got the same result.

And I mean the solid block stairs. I'd use this but I don't like having all the other stuff when I just want the 1x1x1 normal stairs. Great job tho!
