Earn It!

描述
A little immersion mod that makes chopping firewood yield just 1 gold per stick and increases the cost of horses and player homes. For fans of realism only.

WHAT IT DOES

* Reduces the price paid for firewood by lumbermills and taverns from 5 gold to 1, though you can still sell to regular merchants for 2 (with limited quantity of course).

* Increases the price of horses from 1,000 to 3,000.

* Doubles the price of purchasable homes (10,000 to 50,000 depending on location).

WHY YOU WANT IT

Because you're an honest and hard-working gentleperson who does not wish to cheese his way to fabulous wealth. It always bothered me that the best early-game way to make money in Skyrim was to chop wood, and that this simple activity was far superior to mining, fishing, farming and, for that matter, questing. Really? LUMBERJACKING?

It also made no sense that mills pay 5 gold per stick of wood when merchants and craftsmen pay just 2. How can mills turn profit on an item discounted 60% from cost?

The solution, dear reader, was to reduce firewood's base price to 1. You sell to Hod for 1, then Hod sells to Alvor for 2. Everyone wins.

Of course this means more hard work for you. But, you are DOVAHKIIN. You do not drink the milk. You reload in the face of Death.

In the past I'd earn 2,800 gold for a full night's work, which is ten hours in-game and about an hour of click-and-wait in real time. Now I'll spend five days earning a new horse, eighteen days earning Breezehome, and three months earning Proudspire Manor.

Suddenly questing is looking really, really good.

Enjoy the mod!

Hey no worries, thanks for checking out the mod. I love Frostfall also, use a version of it I modded to include buckskins and some other clothie options. And yeah, I run Realistic Needs too - so I'm getting cold, hungry, tired, etc. Great stuff.

My favorite realism mod, though, is Multifollower Mod. No one in real life solos anything if they can avoid it. I limit myself to one follower at start and add another every twelve levels. Dressed more or less the same, they look great and kick serious ass. Set to Legendary difficulty and enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback and good hunting out there.

Personnally i use the frostfall mod, and when trying to earn a bit of money through cutting wood i use the in-mod skill instead of the chopping blocks. Takes a couple of in game cut off hours instead of couple minutes. I'm using the RND mod as well (realistic needs and diseases), so when chopping wood i'm starving, getting cold, getting thirsty, earning 5 gold for 5 hours or so. I'm using the septim mod too, so money do weight something... So even though i like the idea of realism in games i'll pass.
