LED Lamps

描述
Normal lamps in Rimworld used to use up a lot of power and, at the time, there was no other electrical alternative in-game so I created this mod.

What does this mod do?
This mod adds 2 standalone LED Lamps (Open, Shaded), a Spotlight, a Floor Lamp, and Floor Lights (Straight, Corner, Path Straight, Path Cap) and ideology variants of the standing and shaded LED.

This mod does not alter any game files.

Available Languages/Translations:
  • English
  • Russian (Русский) available thanks to Well.
  • German (Deutsch) available thanks to an anonymous user.
What are it's stats?
It takes 500 research points to unlock LED Lamps and 200 for Floor Lamps.

Research points? You have to research it?
Yes, it has it's own nodes and requires the "Electricity" research.
Coloured variants require the standard "Coloured Lights" research.

I don't want this mod anymore. how do I remove it?
Deconstruct every LED Lamp, Spotlight etc, then unsubscribe. You may get an error message when you start your world again. It is nothing harmful.

I think "thing" should be changed.
Please tell me about why you want that changed and I will think about it.

Kind ram, Unlocking the advanced lights research will halve the power consumption, just like the vanilla lamps

LED bulbs seem to have a rather high energy consumption. In stores, such lamps are usually sold at 6-8 watts when bright alike standard as incandescent lamps at 60 watts.

This looks like a fun mod, I love adding different lights. Question: with the floor lamps do they come in different colors? So you could make a disco floor!

markuslarsson81, I don't play Rimworld much anymore, but used to notice how expensive the lamps were. I was going to change it at one point, guess I forgot.

Anyway, I lowered the plasteel cost. ;3

I like your led mod over many other but I think the amount of plasteel required to build them is way too much for the lowered power you get in return. You also have to research it which I like but adds to the requirement. I think you lower plasteel to about 30% and increase steel amount instead, plasteel is way too hard to get to waste these huge amounts for led lights.
