The Sha'Yuri Clan under the leadership of their young, but resourceful leader Ayuri is a defensive Civilization that is focused on making the most of the natural resources that can be found on the map.

While they have an inherent Penalty towards Science, the high amount of extra Culture they produce and the many extra Virtues they get can easily make up for this.

The Golden Age of the Sha'Yuri Clan is a very strong, defensive Cooldown. This allows the Sha'Yuri Clan to play with very little military, even when surrounded by enemies, and gives them the flexibility to either invest into more Golden Age Points if they think they will have to defend themselves more often, or just rely on the Golden Ages that are produced naturally if they expect a more peaceful game.
