A recolor of the Track Ballast and Sleepers for both Standard and High Speed rail. Track Ballast has been retinted to a darker brown color while the Wooden Sleepers for Standard Track has been darkend to represent creosote soaked sleepers. The High Speed Track with concrete Sleepers has been darkened a bit to blend in better with the ballast. All textures were then desaturated and sharpened, so the detail may not be very apparent unless you have the game settings on "high" or above.

This mod was done by request to separate the Terrain and Track Textures so that you can now select which Terrain and Track textures you want to use.

This modifies the Track textures, it can be used on the either the USA or European maps, but ONLY ONE Track texture (Grey or Brown) can be activated at a time. Activating both mods will crash the game.

If you have any problems with the textures not showing up in your savegame, delete the "texture_cache" in your userdata folder(the game will rebuild it). They will show up then.

Post a screenshot of the problem along with your graphics card type, settings and memory, ... for instance, to use the "Very High" settings in this game, your graphics card must have 4gb of memory.

Hello BuffHamster. Thanks for your permission to use your textures. I just can script many things, but i cannot make textures by myself... so i want to make a MOD with a Catenary which is a liitle bit deeper to youse Subwaytrains. To make a different to the Stndard track in the game a need your Brown textures. So you can see which track you use :) I surly say wherer it came from an who have make it.

@reinhardloew: Sure, as long as you mention where it came from, but I would prefer you use it as a requirement for your mod.

I know that they aren't brown-ish everywhere in the World, that is why I made a Grey set too. I guess it depends on what kind of stone is available at the local quarries and later in history, what sales contract wins the bid.

"Enhanced Rail & Euro Terrain Textures" + "Enhanced Rail & Southwestern USA Terrain Textures" will conflict as they both contain Track textures. (I didn't know at the time they would do that, so I have learned)

The newer Terrain textures have some minor tweaks (nothing big) as well as the Brown Track which does add some tweaks to the tunnel entrances (it blends in with the terrain better).

Use: "Enhanced Euro Terrain Textures Only" + "Enhanced Southwestern USA Terrain Textures Only" + "Enhanced Track Textures-Brown" for best results.

I did a search and now realize that you have different options available. I'm a little confused as to which is best. Do the newer terrain mods have improvements over the older ones or did you just break terrain and rails into separate mods?

Should I use?
Enhanced Euro Terrain Textures Only + Enhanced Southwestern USA Terrain Textures Only + Enhanced Track Textures-Brown

Or

Should I use?
Enhanced Rail & Euro Terrain Textures + Enhanced Rail & Southwestern USA Terrain Textures
