-Summary-
This mod purpose is to act as a companion mod to vanilla Byzantium and the Purple Phoenix and King of Kings DLC. This mod's goal is to renovate the Byzantine Empire, and give it flavor that it is otherwise missing. The mod basic doctrine is to renovate Byzantium while respecting the vanilla version of the game. While this creates a powerful empire on par with the other top tier nations of the game, what it does not do is create a deliberately overpowered nation beyond reason.

What that means is that all modifiers have been carefully balanced so that the new features fit right in with the vanilla features. All events have been created with balance in mind, the national ideas have been synergized with the other modifiers Byzantium has, and so forth. It is my sincere belief that this mod should give quite the interesting playthrough that is denied those who play just the vanilla version.

Speaking of that, this mod was created with the vanilla version in mind. What this mod is not about is creating it with other overhaul mods in kind. To those who wish to adapt this mod to other overhaul mods, I say go ahead. To those who wish to incorporate the mod and/or its features into their mod, I also say go ahead. The modding community exists on mods building of of each other, and I am proud to help support that. My only request is that if you use any part of the mod, please include me in the credits. Tis the honorable thing to do.
