In theory this mod //should// never be outdated and safe to add/remove at any time, as it is a fairly simple replacer. However I can make no gurantees, especially as Starbound continues to change and evolve.

Overview:
This mod aims to make the Glitch look a little more like the futuristic robots they are, rather than the walking rubbish bins they look like now. The body has been made sleeker, the arms and legs no longer look like drainage pipes, and a few more lights have been added.
This version was requested and is a replacer version which leaves the vanilla Glitch head intact. In addition other mods which change Glitch heads (I.E. Starface) will work with this mod if they did not previously work with the normal Replacer Version.

The Workshop Version is a steamlined version of the mod for ease-of-use.

Official introduction

The Glitch were part of a program invented by an unknown race of enormous intelligence, they were built as a means of simulating the social and technological progress of a civilization.
These experiments took place in a vast number of regions across the Universe, despite changing a plethora of variables each civilization eventually destroyed itself when its technological progression began to overtake its social progression. All but the Glitch.
For reasons unknown a fault caused the Glitch to become stuck early in the simulation, where they now remain. The experiment long abandoned, the Glitch are unable to shake their Medieval values and beliefs. They’re entirely unaware of their origin and are built to experience the feelings and desires of any other sentient organism.

the glitch look like trash because they are meant to have fake skin over their body.
like on some of their clothes there is fake skin

also they could have bean built thousand of years ago at the same time humans where in the medievil age (we will never know)
