FN Browning Hi-Power

Developed by John Moses Browning at the request of the French Military's "High-Power" pistol requirements, the pistol quickly became popular thanks to the it's large magazine capacity of 13 rounds, eclipsing contemporary designs like Browning's previous Colt 1911 pistol or the P08 Luger. It used a new staggered magazine which allowed for higher round capacity without increasing the physical dimensions of the magazine, as well as possessing several improved features of the Colt 1911 pistol. While the French military ultimately did not adopt the pistol, the Belgian army did, and it ended up in the armories of over 50 countries around the world, and even today enjoys widespread use.
