German Class 244 (DR)

The Deutsche Reichsbahn got some class E 44 back from Soviet Union and reworked them during the 1950's. They have been in service from Leipzig and Halle. The class 244 was renumbered from the E 44 and have been in service by Deutsche Reichsbahn until summer 1991. Engine 244 104 was even renumbered to 144 103 at 1. January 1992 after german reunion.
