Make sure you subscribe to the resource pack as well:

To start the maps, type in your console:
map dz_spy01_intro_new

To get the console, right click on Black Mesa in the "My Games", click properties, click launch options and type:
-console

The maps are heavily inspired by No One Lives Forever 2, Serious Sam and Black Mesa. So expect a bit of humor and lots of enemies to kill. Whimps play on easy so I suggest you play on normal.
Make sure your music volume is set to high as the mod includes a lot of custom music.

IF you start Black Mesa and load a saved game, type snd_restart in the console and load the saved game again.
This is due the caching of the sound files, doing this will allow them to play again.
Note that you ONLY need to do this if you load a saved game after having started up Black Mesa from fresh.

2018-06-26 Update:
dz_spy05_mindcontrol_new did not point to the correct map and therefore the transition to it didn't work properly.

2018-06-03 Update:
All maps have been recompiled on final due to the new lighting system which caused the maps to crash on startup.
Each map has been tweaked, bugs fixed, props and sounds added and a few more things.

The apartment sequence was inspired! I had a laugh. Unfortunately, I experienced a crash when entering the transport services building. Too bad,seems like a nice mod.

Thanks for the review Derpz.
The crash is something that has happened due to new patches.

I might remaster the campaign some time in the far future, it was really fun to do, but goi did hammer crash a lot, this was before the hammer++ era so hammer was really unstable at the time, which caused me to not be able to fully design areas as much as I wanted, because hammer would crash :)

This mod and its sequel is a surreal experience. Its interesting story telling and world building adds immersion as much as Black Mesa itself does. The new content they added was great, with good textures, sounds, and voice acting. This mod has around 2-3 hours of gameplay, but it never feels like it drags on. However, there were parts in the mod that confused the hell out of me. Some areas had some bad level design, and there were quite a bit of bugs, the biggest being that the game crashes when you enter a portal, so you have to load in the next map manually to continue playing. But this mod is definitely worth playing. Good combat and a wacky but fun story. 8/10 experience.
