IMDC Protos-class Corvette Mk.III

The Protos-class is a fast and agile ship equipped with four gatling turrets to either scout enemy territory or to protect larger friendly vessels from torpedos, fighters and bombers. It is able to land and start from any planet, thanks to large turbo jets and hydro thrusters.
This iteration of the Protos is much cheaper in platinum, as it only has 3 large ion thrusters. Instead some hydro thrusters are installed for when more performance is needed.

As military scout and escort corvette the Protos possesses no refinery, but you can set up a base anywhere with the integrated assembler and blast furnace.

Quick guide to the interior changes in case you want to implement it: Remove the two angled blocks at the rear of the bridge, then go back 4 blocks on the centerline. Place doors and ramp. Replace vent with a conveyor, and stick a vent on the side of it. Then go down to the reactor room and replace the 3 Corner Light Doubles that got deleted. The rest is obvious. Whole thing can be done in ~5 minutes.

I did a major rework of the bridge to slim it down and make the ship symmetrical. It's actually possible to have a centerline airlock without impacting other compartments. No functionality was lost, just a few things relocated. https://imgur.com/a/FdxYfZi

Thanks a lot, the tempest is much larger though. To be honest, it is just fact that many ships follow that design philosophy of a large long shaped hull in center with 2 or 4 engine nacelles next to it (aka. Phallus ship Design, hehe) hence the similarities.

I think your 'Protos-class Light Escort Corvette Mk.3 from 'The Old IMDC Scrapyard' belongs in this collection, it is much sleeker even if it costs additional platinum :)
