IMDC F-13a Kestrel

The Kestrel is a medium Interceptor equipped with four gatling guns and two extra gatling turrets. Its hydrogen thrusters enable it to boost its movement for a short period time. The Kestrel can operate on any planet and in space, while well perpared for sniping enemy turrets from a distance.


This ship is created in development branch of the game. You can install it by clicking RMB on Space Engineers, going to Settings, then Beta program. Choose the DEV branch and it should install. Then you can load and spawn the blueprint as usual from the blueprint menu with F10.

The F-13a is an update for the F-13 with a hydrogen tank, a after burner like booster (H2), and additional turbines for atmospheric operationality.

QST successfully refitted Kestrel. We present F-13q version !

According to our licensing contract, QST modified the Kestrel: tidied up the control panel, changed hudrogen tank with additional storage, second oxygen generator (that was large weakspot), changed large hydrogen thruster with large ion thruster, armored up the craft, used heavy armor around the main reactor, added 2 additional gatling turrets under the 'wings' as well as reloadable rocket launcher on top and 2 more rocket pods. Additionally atmospheric thrusters was removed, as QST operates mostly in deep space and on moons.
Wasp still awaits it's treatment.
