Lijiang Tower - Night Market

描述
Recreation of the Night Market section of the map Lijiang Tower from Overwatch.

This is alpha version of the map, without an artpass.

It includes only the Night Market section, functioning as a solo KOTH map. The other two sections are not included. Stay tuned for more!

The interesting thing about Lijiang Tower is that all 3 sections of the map use the same art themes TF2 already has: Koth King urban chinese style, Koth Suijin oriental style and the Spytech style. So I guess working on an artpass is easier on this map than the rest of OW maps!

I can't seam to launch the map from Map commands, can you provide the name of the codename overwatch maps somewhere?

All koth maps in OW are way smaller than 2fort, landfall, double cross. Only exception is turbine, and even that map has more space. Now, the things that make OW CTF more suitable for small maps is that these maps are designed for 12 players, and the way the flag works in OW - you have a timer to cap/return it that is reset by taking damage, while in TF2 the flag is instantly capped, but takes a full minute to return. It has to be this way due to OW heavy use of mobility and barriers. Also, I don't like how there are obvious straight paths between the flags since these maps are meant for koth, where control center is the worst offender. In all TF2 ctf maps, all paths between flags have a lot of vertical and horisontal twists.

@Srpski Čekić: The Capture the Rooster version of Nightmarket had an additional lift up to the ledge behind each lion statue. I think a TF2 version should incorporate that, and maybe additional ramps, to keep routes accessible for non-jumping classes, seeing how TF2 has far fewer classes with vertical mobility than Overwatch.

Srpski Čekić: What are you talking about? CTF maps in TF2 are pretty small compared to other maps (except for ctf_Well, because Valve just took the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and oversized cp_Well and made things worse by turning a giant flat map with no proper flank routes into a CTF map, putting the files on a table in a giant empty room and calling it a day).

CTF as it is now in TF2 would not work on small maps like these.

Oh, Overwatch Team have updated all Control maps to have CTF mode. You should probably check it out if you haven't seen it
