DEPRECATED DayDot Materials - replaced :)

描述
NOW UPDATED!

Bring some additional depth to your planet with these six extra, naturally spawning, voxel types, plus a Smelter block for refining & production.

Silver and Gold spawn in random veins much as the vanilla Iron does. See the pics for foliage markers. These are both minable for their ores, which can be smelted into ingots using the smelter block.

Coal spawns under all forest biomes. It's minable for Coal Chunks which are used in the smelter.

Clay spawns under flat grassland biomes. It's minable for Clay Chunks, which can be used to craft Clay Bricks. Lemmy has done a heap of work and put the DayDot Brick mod together, which will let you build brick structures with these components... thanks heaps mate.

Snow spawns at very high elevations, and is minable for Large Stone (low yield.)

Cobble spawns on flowmap biomes, i.e. roads. This texture was updated for Planets by STOR13D PAST Productions from Jugbot's original Mo' Voxels pack; special thanks to SPP for sharing his texture and massive amounts of help when I was wrestling with some modding tools. Oh, it's minable for Large Stone.

There are now two ways to get this mod to work!

If you're creating a new world it's super easy: just enable this mod at creation time. Be aware that the resulting world will require this mod loaded for subsequent use; if you remove the mod, the planet will disappear. Kinda cool but limiting.

To add the custom ores to an existing world, you'll need to move the vanilla planet definition file out of your game data directory and restart the game. Pretty simple process:
1. Locate PlanetGeneratorDefinitions.sbc in the Data directory of your ME installation (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MedievalEngineers\Content\Data)
2. MOVE (don't delete) the file elsewhere (mine's on my desktop.) If you want to load a planet WITHOUT this mod, you'll need to pop it back.
3. Start (or restart) Medieval Engineers, enable this mod when creating or loading a world, and enjoy.

Changes: Custom iron voxels/ores/ingots removed as they're in the vanilla game now. "Cooking" iron in campfire removed as redundant. Production time and outputs adjusted so smelter outperforms vanilla furnace. Most gold and silver moved from high altitude visible veins, to subsurface "marked" deposits (I say most... some snowy mountains may hide secrets....)

Hi all. FYI I am rebuilidng this mod from the ground up, to work with the current version of the game. I'll link it once it's done.

Update: I moved the mod to the 1st position in the load order. I can now mine clay, but ONLY with the stone axe. Thank you once again.

Thank you (all?) for the hard work. Only issue I'm having atm is that I cannot extract the clay. I used the metal pickaxe, hammer and axe. For grins-and-giggles I tried the stone axe too but was unable to extract the clay. The animation shows, bits of clay flying off with each strike too. Am I doing something wrong perhaps? I moved the planet~sbc file out of the data folder, started the game, added the mod to my existing world and started the world.

I like the idea of gold and silver working as currency metals. Make them craftable into coins for server trade, and modify all the values for claims so all traditional materials are 10 times less valuable for claims (no more stone fed 7 day claims) while making gold and silver (expecially coin) worth a lot more in claims...... Cause, I tried to pay the governemtn in stones last tax season.... apperently they only accept currency.

silver and gold could be used for trading in multiplayer, as well as with any NPC trading mods. there value could come from high time values in the claim block.

Does anyone else have a problem with this mod working, or is it just me? I understand that the author is busy and I dont mean to compain, but I wonder if it's just me or do others have problems with harvesting the mod ores and using the Basic Smelter?

Also... if anyone has any ideas for what these materials could be used for (especially gold and silver, seeing as they aren't much use yet!) please comment. I generally prefer to keep stuff ME realistic rather than fantasy.
