“Jerry held onto Caen, tooth and nail. Every time we pushed, they clung on tighter. Every basement, ruin and bunker down every damn street was a deathtrap, and what should have been a fleeting skirmish took us the better part of a month. Wilkes summed it up best: ‘they fight like we did at Dunkirk’, he’d said. We shouldn’t have expected less.” Dense urban ruins change the pace of combat, where ambush and indirect fire are key to maintaining control. Knowing where to defend and where to assault can turn the ruins against your enemy.

One of the few maps to have survived the last map contest. It's not too cluttered or narrow, which is a common problem on industrial maps. The 4 cutoffs play nicely, as do the few but strategic buildings. Good map.

Hello folks! A strange release, but this map is an updated version of the very original Caen map, on my ColossalGammon profile.

This version of the map has all of the latest balance changes and updates. I hope you enjoy!
