This isn't chrome..... this is silverish grayish white.. isn't there anything you could've done to make it look chrome?

The lighting effect is intentional, and is meant to look very shiny. This is the closest I could get to chrome after messing the the .vmt for a couple of hours. If you have any tips on how I could make the metal look more authentically chrome, I would appreciate suggestions.

This looks god awful. All you did is take the gun and paint the black with greyish white paint in paint and let the normals do the rest. I would recommend recoloring it with paintnet then it could keep the import details that prevent it from looking like plastic.
