When attaching equipment, it may be best to avoid attaching them on exorted parts (ie the sides, bridge and engine). The centre parts are basic parts where it would be best to attach and then offset into the ship. This should avoid the export bug that, although was fixed, has appeared from time to time. It's also good practice :)

Hints and tips: You can move the exported parts (created saved part) by offsetting it, make sure you either write down its position in the offset or find the offset with 0.0 (if it has one) then return it to that position when done.
