Swirling Tentacles js1k competition 2010 entry by Steven Wittens at acko.net

UPDATE: Added controls for tentacle length and amount, segment width, swirl speed, camera zoom interval, blending mode ('lighten' is transparent, 'source-over' is faster but no Z sorting)

Code fits in 1k of Javascript and uses canvas so it's not very efficiently rendered by the GPU -_-
I tweaked the code for higher framerates, longer camera tweening and higher resolutions. I might port his code to a fast vertex shader someday
