I gave up on the summoner honestly. I've tried a few changes, but I never really found a way to make the summoner shine. Herald of Golot is good for gold, but honestly with the merchant skill you are flush with gold end game anyway. I couldn't change the summons themselves (to make them more powerful), and the power point cost was never a problem for my summoners.
No more running in circles for the final random encounters.
If the bard would have the same reduction for pp as the mage and the summoner would gain some option to regain pp it would be perfect.
Thanks again, well done.
Total cost for spell isn't that much lower if you max them, but it reduces the cost a bit especially when you first get the spells. Difficulty over all isn't altered that much. The lower knowledge ofherbs means less total bonuses from them, but starting with 10 (and only having 10 more levels), means you can start collecting them with max effect while still in the starting areas.
Gaulen now has all the abilities (at the same cost) as a paladin, since he is sort of a Paladin for Golot. He starts with 10 Knowledge of herbs, and that skill now has a cap of 20. This means you can start getting herbs right away without loosing out on that much. Gaulen's utility skills also only cost one point and he gets 5 skill points a level base instead of 4.
All mage spells base cost was halved (to 1/2 the cost to upgrade). Stone arrow and sparks have a base cost of 2.
All aura's and songs now affect all allies. This is due to songs not having a 2 foot radius (and it makes sense for a pally aura to hit everyone as well).
Daggers now have a base speed of 7 instead of 8. It's still a bit weaker then other weapons, but not as bad.
Gaulen also has access to maces and daggers now.
All random encounters happen twice as fast.
