This my very first version of Hogwarts recreation in the source engine for csgo.

8/23/2018 - Completely resized everything, added more details to old buildings and expanded the map.

Not dead, I just haven't updated it and haven't really worked on it due to lack of interest. I'm currently waiting for Hogwarts Legacy to release to get some inspiration and ideas from there. The only time I work on this is in the winter time or cold season. If Valve could release a new reworked Cobblestone map that means I would have new castle props that I could use which would help a lot. The current old Cobblestone props aren't good enough and do not fit well with the map. The biggest challenge and problem with this Hogwarts map is the grand tower staircase, the Quad interior section and the scale. These are the things that slowed down progress and making feel exhausted and to lose interest.

great wip map so far!! It needs polishing as i am sure you are aware, but the idea and what you have done so far is epic. More assets here and there, maybe a fountain at the ct spawn... it has the potential to be great. It does need a lot more light though - like maybe candles or something. Kudos fellow wizard!

I have updated it today. Its still in wip state and this is what I have done so far. I had some trouble with compiling (too many T-junctions to fix up) I fixed it by turning some func_details into func_lod. The buildings that are still using the old white brick textures need to be remade. So far I really like the spiral staircases from the towers and the courtyards.

I am currently working on this map. I am trying to make Hogwarts look more like in the movie of deathly hallows part 2. I ran into some problems. Each version of Hogwarts is different in every movie or game. The exterior and interior parts do not match. The new version will be a lot smaller, taller, more detailed but better in gameplay perspective. I will release it once I am happy with it.
