Have you ever wanted to roleplay as Angela Merkel and declare Sharia Law in Germany? Or, better yet, spread that freedom to other Western nations? Well, now you can! With the Sharia Law mod, you can finally fulfill your dreams of destroying secular democracy.

Enacting Sharia Law will make your religious and conservative constituents love you, and the former's numbers will skyrocket. However, the youth and liberals will detest you and probably shoot you given the chance. Equality will also plummet, enabling even more crime (which will also skyrocket) so it's recommended to have a pretty good police state up and running to protect yourself.

Naturally, tourists won't want to go to a place like this, and the rest of the world will be upset with you, but I'm sure if you have a ton of oil you'll be fine.

2020 Addendum:

I guess every 4 years this mod is gonna get some extra attention; I wonder why lol.

Anyways, to clarify a couple things: the game uses the standard definition of 'liberal' not modern neoliberalism, meaning the ideology that seeks to maximize individual freedoms and liberties. This is why liberals don't like the law while conservatives do.

Secondly, it costs a lot of political power to implement because it would be pretty difficult to pass these laws in a Western democracy... just turn PP off and go wild.

Germany, or more exactly Berlin is not under the law of a religion (if so that it would be a christian law, because the leading party is CDU/CSU. C stands for christian).

Germanys population is mostly atheistic, just so you know. We are just to stingy to pay 30€ to get out of church.
