In 2014 Chang'e-3 discovered traces of ice from a meteor impact on the Lunar surface and also located various pockets of trapped methane with in the meteorite.

In 2018 American military intercepted a payload on the black marked destined for Russian territories. This payload was a 1kg sample of meteorite from the Chang'e 5 2017 exploration, American scientists analysed the sample and confirmed traces of ice and now believe CNSA wish to establish the first lunar space station utilising this potential source of water with help from the Russian’s.

NASA have been instructed by the US Government to locate this ice patch and setup up a lunar station at all costs before the RKA and CNSA gain a foot hold on the lunar surface as this is vital for further exploration and will assist in the colonisation of Mars in 2030 the NASA budget has increased funding for this program it is now year 2020 and have been cleared for lift off.
