This mod aims to expand the variatons for plants. Right now it does not add "new" plants, but adds additioral frames and alternatives to existing plants:

Farmables:
Half of the farmables will now have 2 additional frames for each growth stage 0 and 1. So they don't look all the same anymore, when planted.
Farmables variations appear on old worlds too.

Vines:
Extened parts for vanilla vines: 4 instead of 2 Bases, 8 instead of 2 Middle parts (2 new stems + alternative foliage for each of the 4 stems), 3 instead of 2 End parts. For almost all vines, except some special ones.
New: 3 new foliage for default forest vines, 1 new for Mushroom stalks.
Vines parts only appear on NEW planets!

Grass:
19 new Grass types for different planets/biomes.
Grass needs a NEW planet to show up.

Compatibility

Farmable appearance gets OVERWRITTEN. Farmable stats are not affected.
Vines are more modular and new stuff is appended to vanilla vines.
New Foliage for vines gets added to foliage list in Biomes, could conflict with mods that change the Vanilla spawn item order...

Coming in here to add to the reports of flower issues, this mod currently botches the two-block-tall vanilla flower textures to swap the bottom and the top of them. Removing this mod and loading a new world with the same types of flowers resolves the issue.

Which is a shame, because this is a great mod and it didn't used to have this problem, even since its last update. Part of me wonders if this is the result of a wild incompatibility with a more recent, commonly used mod that no one would think to check.
